Title: I'm going to be in The New York Times, gents.
Post by: GilloD on July 09, 2009, 12:00:49 PM: So, once, many moons ago, I was in college. And one night we had a party! And in the middle of that party, I got super drunk. And while drunk, I filled the bathtub up and announced that we were having a pool party. We stood around looking at the tub. No one wanted to get in. Finally, I said: "Lo, and fuck it" and got into the bathtub and started splashing around. Then, to my eternal surprise, someone else got in. And then there were 4 fully clothed, drunk ass people splashing in a bathtub. Someone turned the shower on. And then someone took a picture:

It is a hilarious picture. And I look back on it fondly, but mostly forgot about it until yesterday. The person who took that photo is now a somewhat well-established photographer. And the NYT was looking for photos about "College". On a lark, they sent it in and forgot about it.

Until today. When the NYT faxed over a contract- That shit will probs be in the Magazine sometime this summer/Early Fall.

The NYT approves of POOL PARTY and GilloD. I'm the best, mayne.

(NOTE: Attempts to replicate the pool party usually end with me sitting in a bathtub of cold water, alone. VINDICATION)
