Title: Goddamnit, Cat is gimped
Post by: EmCeeGrammar on July 28, 2009, 02:24:57 AM
So I notice that my cat's leg is a little puffy.  I investigate and there's a fucking tiny hole on his front right leg seeping fluid and little chunks of pus.  I'm like whatever, I'll clean it and wrap it up and see the vet on wednesday.  I come home tonight and his whole paw has grown twice its size and the hole heaved a big glob of vile diseased juice into the sink.  Its obviously a bad infection thats not going to fix itself.  I'm not going to get anytime off until wednesday.  I don't even know what a vets going to charge for care. FUCK.  Do general peroxides and other antiseptic materials work on animals?

I'm sure anything that works on humans works fine on animals in that regard, but jeez, get him to a vet.  They're available all around the clock in case of emergencies.

my friend's old cat recently died but the vet tried to milk her for all he could.  The possible diseases the cat could have were narrowed down to a few possibilities and the vet said that it would take a $1,000 procedure to find out what exactly is wrong with it.  Then my friend asks how much the actual treatment cost and the vet said that there was no actual treatment so she just let the cat die anyways without wasting her money.

yes go to the vet asap.  on the bright side yours appears to be only the third use of the phrase "cat is gimped" on the internet.

Your cat has a skin abscess. It needs to be incised, drained, and packed.

You can use OTC antiseptics and topical antibiotics until you get him to the vet.

lick it

I was hoping to get a "double pussy" post in here as a rejoinder, like "lick that puss-y pussy!" but it turns out the adjectival form of pus is "suppurate."
