Seems to be pretty much the same as the Wii Ware version, but looks a little better. I played two-player with my wife (HOLY SHIT IS THAT A RARE OCCURRENCE :o :o :o); we made it up to level 72 in classic mode and only like level 21 in arranged, basically getting stuck on the same thing: Bubble jumping. I remember 72 being somewhat annoying, but in the XBLA version it was incredibly frustrating to the point that I wonder if they messed up. You are stuck in an area that you have to bubble jump to get out of, but the corridor is too thin, and I was barely able to get three bubbles out at a time, which would burst before getting to the top. :/
Other stuff:
-Unlimited continues, but of course if you lose all your lives, your score resets, and that's what's important.
-Arranged is not widescreen like in the Wii Ware version. WHY NOT?
-The music cuts out if the ghost whales come after you and does not return.
-There's a spot for DLC; presumably the same DLC content the Wii version got. (More levels)
-There's a new versus mode that's been added. We tried it at it just seemed to be another set of (even harder) levels. Couldn't get past the first one! :lol

Is this out now in the North American store?
edit: seems so. I got to check it out.
-
Is it? When I checked, it wasn't out in the U.S., just Japan.
-
wished it was online co-op

No. You're right. I was going by the GAF XBLA thread originally.

It's not? :o I didn't even look to see about that option; that sucks.
When I checked the online rankings, it had scores for single and two-players though...

*gasp* could it be because those people played with two people like the game asks you at the start?

Then how about the modes with three and four players? :P

It's gotta be local.
