Voted for Shining Force too but I wouldn't mind playing Earthworm Jim again (haven't played it since physically owning and playing it on a Genesis). They need to put Shining Force II on XBLA and there shouldn't be a vote, just fucking release it!

Toejam and Earl does NOT hold up well at all... remember really liking it as a kid, but nowadays it's much too sluggish to play. Not to mention I hate games where you don't even know what the items do until you use them.

I think that was in Earthworm Jim 2, where for some reason you were a newt or a salamander. I don't even remember why.
The level demi is talking about sucked, I hated that level and usually quit when I got to it.

I can definitely do that but there's something about favorite games of mine being released on PSN/XBL. I mean, I own the physical Wild Arms disk for the Playstation and I still bought it on PSN for $5 :'(

I beat EWJ on hard when I was like 9 with no save states and shit so It'll be a piss easy 200 at least. I'd like to replay it.
And yeah that submersible orb thing level was a pain, took a lot of patience and practice.

Earthworm Jim Announced for the XBLA

Now, let me clarify one thing right off the top here. This is not a result of the 20th Anniversary Voting we reported on a few days ago. Despite Earthworm Jim being included in that and being in the lead, this is a different announcement altogether. In fact, the website hosting that vote (www.genesispoll.com/) has either been taken down or flooded with votes, because it now displays a "403 Forbidden" error.
So, with that said, Interplay and Gameloft have struck a deal that gives Gameloft exclusive rights to develop, distribute and publish Earthworm Jim. It will be coming to pretty much all platforms (and perhaps some mobile devices) before the year is out., with the Xbox Live Arcade getting one month exclusivity. Rejoice!
Now we just have to wait and see what happens with that poll I mentioned earlier. My vote went to ToeJam and Earl, and with this recent announcement, not to mention it being second place in the running, I feel it may win by default.
Update: The poll is now back online with Earthworm Jim removed. Everyone vote for ToeJam and Earl!

Toe Jam and Earl has some nice early 90's schtick (sic) going on, but other than that its worthless.
Golden Axe 2 is hilarious.
Streets of Rage 1 is a huge step down from 2 even, who the fuck voted for that?

I thought SOR1 had a fantastic soundtrack, I like it more than even SOR2's tbh, although the sequel is much better and deeper gameplay-wise. Wasn't nuts about 3 - although it's got an even larger moveset than 2, the garish backgrounds and awkward music ruin it for me.

Im surprised you dont like the music in SOR3 tiesto. Its pretty unique/avant-garde/cutting edge stuff IMO. Definitely Koshiro-san's most ambitious work. Love it, personally. But I listen to gabber :P
