Fuck this game
-
fucking demo was awesome in co-op
capcom is truly in a class of their own when comes to japanese devs
:bow capgod :bow2
-
Game of this gen, unbelievably epic feel to it.
-
the controls are the same, lame.
-
the only complaint i have about the controls is that you still have to click crouch before you can roll.
and why is bounding box on by default? i don't know how anyone could stand to play with it on
-
the game is out?
-
the demo is up yes
-
played like the first game
no interest
-
I didn't like the first game so I was hoping this one would be all boss fights like that video taking the legs off that big creature.
-
monster hunter ruined japan
-
It was really fun when I played online with 3 other people, but annoying as hell when it was just me with the shitty AI partners.
-
omfg that was awesone :hyper :hyper
MH with guns and next gen graphics. I'm so fucking there.
-
Played with two friends and enjoyed the fuck out of the LP2 demo! It was a hell of a lot of fun figuring out the best ways to kill the monster. And holy (literal) shit at being able to go inside that thing...didn't expect to be CRAPPED OUT either! :lol
I bet it sucks with the AI partners. Is the final game going to be like this in campaign? I don't want to have shitty AI teammates.
-
LP2 is all about 4 player co-op!
:bow capgod :bow2
-
I played with two friends and it rocked.
Is the campaign just going to be a series of challenges like this level?
-
Wow, so this is what monster hunter would have been like on a real system
-
I want to try the demo out. Demi let's do this.
ok boo you know where to find me
-
Demo was fun. Only problems I had with the controls is not being able to crouch toggle and 180 turn requiring you to pull back and press the right analog (it should just be a press).
btw, the enemy from the demo is apparently not even one of the big ones from the full game.
-
i like when you beat the thing it just melts and you can see bones and stuff
-
Tried a co-op game with slime
Choice quotes:
"This is boring."
"Why did I die?"
"What happened to our AI people?"
"How do you reload?"
"Is this thing dead yet?"
"I'm not using that grapple, I'll just die."
"I think we got a game over."
"Yeah, I'm gonna delete this."
:lol Garbage

Yeah. Reminds me of MH where big enemies are super grindy and take forever to bring down.
Not for me at all. I actually liked LP1 when it was just a fun/light arcade shooter.

LP1 had some grindy boss fights. FUCK that flying thing on top of the mountain (mission 3, I think?) FUCK IT TO HELL.
-
There are screenshots showing human characters fighting each other. There's definitely going to be a versus mode like in the original. I can't see them making the campaign entirely NOTHING but those huge monster fights, either.
-
The demo was wholly unintersting (boring as FUCK!), but I only played it with the computer, so maybe (maaaaybe) it's more fun with friends. Still looking forward to buying it though, I'm sure the final product will be fine. Graphics are hot.
:heartbeat Capcom :heartbeat

Every game is always better with friends. Don't judge the demo based on shitty AI or playing with some dumbfuck who just runs around like an idiot.
The one time I made an open slot when I was playing with my friends, the guy who joined played the demo as if the score/rank was the ONLY thing that mattered. He immediately ran for all the data posts and then hid himself on the map, sniping at the monster whenever he had the chance to and stealing all the good weapons. ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz
If you really want to own that Akrid, there's a mech inside a cave that three people can ride. Two of us picked up rocket launchers before boarding, then all three of us blasted the fuck out of the Akrid (forget its legs and go for the hit points on top of its back and inside its mouth) and set the mech down to finish the job with rockets. I think I was the only one who died, and that was because I suicided by accident when the Akrid was dead. :lol

I know. You're talking to a guy who bought Too Human with a friend and had a great time. But with this particular instance of Lost Planet 2, we're talking about a section of the game that is so uninteresting that it might not easily be saved by co-op with friends. There should've been some exploration or something before the boss. That being said, going inside of it and wrecking shit is super awesome.
-
Played through it with CPU and had fun by myself. But my CPU teammates were running in circles and not helping :\ gonna try it with people later.
This game would be much better as a Monster Hunter-esque game. Just refine some of the item/equipment shit so it makes you feel like you're actually getting somewhere and not playing some dull as fuck, empty, long, and boring game like Monster Hunter.

We don't know how the final game is going to turn out-- this is a demo with one little area open; who's to say that the stages won't be much bigger?

They certainly will be. I'm just talking about how they should've had (for the demo) some exploration and smaller combat sections BEFORE the huge boss fight. Isn't that the way the Lost Planet demo was?
-
big huge monster? check
4 player co-op? check
lots of different weapons and motherfucking MECHS? check and check
uninteresting my arse

There were two LP demos. A campaign demo and a multiplayer demo. Maybe they'll release another one.

That would be win. And I'm not hating! I'm buying this day one, yo.

if the entire game is basically fighting giant bosses than it will be >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lost Planet 1.
then again I enjoyed the LP1 demo and the actual game was garbage.
-
Lost Planet 1 single and multiplayer were great. Loved that game.

I played the hell out of the LP1 demo. that thing was out for like a year before the actual game and yeah, it was a super disappointing game after all that.

I'm sold, everything is this game seems to be improved.
Day 1, love the art style
