Title: Was there another game like Hinterland?

Shit like Azure Dreams tickles my ass. I LOVE the "Go get some kind of resource so you can upgrade your homebase" genre of game. Throw in some resource management and I'm like 100% there. I actually played all the way through A Kingdom for Keflings.

So I was PSYCHED for Hinterland. But I heard it sucked. Gonna play the demo in a bit and see. But wasn;t there ANOTHER game like Hinterland? A Diablo-meets-Sim City/Harvest Moon kind of thing? Or did I DREAM IT?!

Hinterland is fun for an hour or two, but the two components of the game are really simplistic.

You might want to check out Settlers: Rise of an Empire or Kingdom for Keflings, if you have an Xbox360.

Majesty 2 comes out in like three weeks and offers a mix of fantasy city-building with a lot of RPG elements with your heroes and what not. Very different sort of game though, more sim than loot'n'levels like Hinterland.

Fuck two weeks for Majesty 2? I played the shit out of that game while I was at University. Very ahead of it's time.
