Yeah that's worse than DMC4 Automatic mode. At least you had some semblance of control using that mode. She didnt even get hit once

As I told patel on MSN:
"-that's actually a really good idea (very easy automatic play)
-for once if you have a game with really awesome graphics
-and you want to show it to like... your uncle
-you can actually hand him the controller"
In this case (basically, for demonstration) - A super easy interaction is better than:
1) No interaction (just watching a rolling demo, or someone else play)
2) Incredibly hard/complex interaction that requires lots of game play experience
This is a really smart idea from a development perspective. I'd expect this concept to gain more traction in the years to come as certain niche genres become more and more hardcore. Obviously never at the expense of the actual game controls for the real players.

Granted you can only access this mode if you play on the easy or very easy difficulty settings but if you're actually going to use automatic mode, you might as well not buy the game and just watch a video playthrough on youtube while you furiously mash face buttons. You'll get the same amount of satisfaction either way.
God of War has shifted millions of units with a combination of tap B to win the game and pretty things happening on screen.

God of War aka A painting that plays itself!

They should have mapped it to the D-pad, leaving the right hand free, if you know what I mean...
