Larsson believes by flipping certain genetic levers during a chicken embryo's development, he can reproduce the dinosaur anatomy, he told AFP in an interview.
Though still in its infancy, the research could eventually lead to hatching live prehistoric animals, but Larsson said there are no plans for that now, for ethical and practical reasons -- a dinosaur hatchery is "too large an enterprise."
Exciting until you find out they aren't planning to build Jurassic Park just yet. If I can't have a flying car, at least give me a dinosaur I can ride. Or eat.
What I find most interesting will be to find out if this theory can be applied to any other animals that have evolved from one form to another.

I don't get the ethical issues of bringing an extinct species back to life or creating an all new species. Don't scientists mix and match animal hybrids already?
Also the expenses seem worth it if it'll result in a major scientific breakthrough.
I think people are just scared dinosaurs will eat them if they make them. Soon they'll be having dinosaur town halls.
