The game single-player gets trounced by RE4, but the multiplayer is awesome, and regardless, the game still rocks.

The game is good, but RE4 is great.  Multi-player is for losers with FRIENDS.  LOSERS.

While I think RE4's campaign is still the best in the entire series, I sunk far more time into RE5-- it's the more replayable game of the two.

definitely the worst game i've played this year. pretty pathetic that Call of Juarez is more fun than RE5.

It's worse than RE4, but RE5 is still a great game.

I enjoyed RE5 quite a bit, but it is in no way better than RE4 (my favorite game last gen, yeah I said it). At all. There was no sense of urgency or immediacy whatsoever in RE5, whereas RE4 was constantly engaging and at times overbearingly intense. Also, your "partner" in RE4 was not intrusive. Yeah, you could do co-op in RE5, but if you weren't, the game was miserable because Ashley was fucking stupid.

And Uncharted sucked.

RE5 is a different game to RE4 and doesn't have a lot of the same tension.  So I prefer RE4.

But RE5 was my favourite game this year.  Until Batman and DiRT 2 come along at least.

RE5 was pretty fun, but it just wasn't RE4.

I love RE5. But the best zombie killin' game of the year goes to CoD:WaW's Nazi Zombie mode.

I agree, Oblivion.  I preferred the co-op mechanics and the length of RE5.  The game also has greater replay value as well.

I like what I've played of RE5 so far.  It's like RE4 with faster game-play and much better graphics. 

RE5 (360 version) looks amazing on my 58" plasma.  Even though I know that the PC version will run even better, I want to beat it at least once on the 360.  A puny 24" monitor simply can't do its visuals justice. 

Also,

:piss Uncharted and its cast of ugly characters :piss2
