No, I transferred because if I were to study abroad I would have to take an extra year of college, and CU ended up costing around $50,000 / year. I'll be studying international economics. I was in advertising at CU.
And I'll try my best to avoid, er, jail. :lol

Nice. do you know Japanese? dumb question I guess...not sure how much english they have over there.
I think maybe we spoke about this before? I took a summer session at Sophia in 2004. It was great and the classes were pretty good; all English and the teachers were American. The few Japanese students in these classes always had translators out and were typing away, trying to follow everything that was being said.
The combination of intensive language courses and living abroad could potentially mean you really ramp up your Japanese and learn a LOT. Take advantage of it!
As for the other stuff, you'll get used to getting around and all that stuff pretty quickly, I'm sure. Have fun!
I think a J-Borefest is long overdue. We'll pour one out for drew.:rock J-Borefests. One of the craziest birthdays of my life (probably the craziest. yep.) started as a J-bore gathering.
:hyper nice! I kinda want to do this as well but I think it's too late for me. :gloomy

It's 3.45pm here...ideally, you'd want to be sleeping on the plane in about 8hrs time so you can get on a Tokyo sleep schedule faster. If you can stay awake that long and then get some good drunken, pilled-up sleep on the plane, go for it.
