Stumbled across this a few days back, so forgive me if it's old. I haven't been able to get it working on my budget set-up (and more to the point, my crappy internet connection), but it seems to be getting pretty positive reviews from folks.

He also recommends using Chrome to access it, which may be part of my problem.

This is just a fancy demo thing... why not go to the main site?

Didn't even know it existed. So why am I seeing this site popping up everywhere like it's some great achievement? Clearly it's been done, better from the looks of it.

Probably because it's all in JavaScript, while vNES uses a different language
edit: It uses Java

Ah, ok. I assumed they were both javascript, because the java icon popped up on my laptop when I fired up vNES.
