Hey, I don't make the news, I just report it.

I figured there would be a couple surprises, what with TGS on Thursday.

I was naive to think there wouldn't be re-releases of fighting games in the age of patches and dlc.

It's apparently the version that Europe is getting.

It'd be nice if that new BB is DLC for the States.

And let's not forget about Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: The version we should have put out in the first place edition.

Something has got to be done.  They're not stupid enough to split their user bases...

...I hope.   :-\

Dude, look at all the variations of Guilty Gear... you knew this would happen.

Yes, but those games weren't heavily infused with an online element (well, the Xbox ones were, but...the less said, the better) like BB is.

If this new version balances the characters out (the game needs it badly, IMO), it will be worth getting.  Rumors are it will be getting new characters, too.

There is some strange comment over at Wii Everyday about how Zhao Yun (Multi-Raid) and Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2) are going to appear in each other's game...

  • Karaoke duets

Misread this as "Karaoke Sluts" and was briefly excited at what the gameplay mechanics might be. I suppose "ping pong mini game on dates" may end up applying, if "ping pong" is given a sufficiently broad definition.

Something has got to be done.  They're not stupid enough to split their user bases...

Oh, I'll bet you money that they are stupid enough to do it. Most J-devs still seem to think that, despite all evidence to the contrary, making a game for Japan only and then treating the rest of the world market as gravy money to be a responsible, reasonable business plan.

I've got to pull a Sho Nuff and jettison while my J-dev experience still carries a little cred.  :-\ :'(

No, it's not the characters, just the clothing, at least for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.  Ryu and Ayane are going to have Dynasty Warriors 6 (Booooo) outfits.

Seems like just about every 360 3rd party exclusive is headed to the PS3 these days.
A year later

Star Ocean 4 International (PS3)

      SO4 interview with Yamagishi

    * I'm no longer going to create SO4 series
    * I'm happy with 3, even though the ending had mixed opinions
    * 1 disk so no disc swapping makes things easier
    * Battles have been rebalanced
    * Improved playability
    * 360 version had high saturation and was a bit shiny/flashy since it was more for an international audience, but the PS3 version is a little warmer looking.
    * Be happy that the last SO for me will be ending up on PS3

Yeah, thanks a lot for that SE. I really appreciated almost going blind.

We've known about that for a while now, actually. I think it was announced at E3. Neat idea, but yeah, Koei Canada...  :-\

the only thing that would make me interested in a WKC sequel is if shitty ass level 5 wasn't behind it
