This year the keynote is being delivered in one of the giant exhibition halls, which is a bit weird. It feels like sitting in the middle of a warehouse. There are lots of super-bright coloured lights. Gentle ballady J-pop plays in the background. It's a bit like the world's most rubbish rave.
Totillo says GT5 is at 65%... wtf
A user playing for six hours every day would have to play for 29 years to play every LBP user-created level.
How many penises would you see during those 29 years?
"The new PS3 has been doing very well, and one of the reasons for this is the price... As a system in the living room, we have managed to realise this price without making any changes to what is good about it."
11:50:17 -There is "light vibration feedback".
11:49:19 -He's holding up a magic wand. The magic ping pong ball changes from pink to green. There is a few seconds silence then he puts it down again. Slightly anti-climactic.
11:49:04 - Come on Kaz, show us your magic wand! "This will be something that will be familiar to operate, and even for core gamers who have stringent requirements, it will be beneficial."
11:51:30 -And now on to the PSP. Is that all we're getting of your magic wand, Kaz? But Lord Voldemort has not yet been defeated!
waggle is cool now cuz 3rd parties will be able to port their wii games to ps3!!
:rofl :rofl
some sort of mental fruit machine thingq
11:56:07 -The translator's losing it. Come on Madam, keep it together. "PSPgo is really an ultimate choice made for those users who can use the Network conveniently."
So, you need the Eye thingy for the Sagglemote to work, right?
11:59:14 -They want to expand the entertainment world to a non-gaming genre.
the cheapest i can see this waggle wand going for is $80
DOA
12:01:38 -PlayStation Home. "More than 8 million users in the first ten months." The number is "literally" growing.
Now they're talking firmware. :lol
12:04:11 - Er, that appears to be it. A Japanese lady is on the stage now. There's going to be "a dialogue". Kaz is going to talk to a Japanese journalist live on stage, looks like.
12:10:42 - "The basic idea is to express emotion." Why not try doing that with some kind of chip, Kaz?
apparently this was the keynote, and the press conference is in 2.5hrs, and thats when the REAL news will come. apparently
i know it uses pseye. which is why for the vast majority of folks that buy it it'll cost them that much
apparently this was the keynote, and the press conference is in 2.5hrs, and thats when the REAL news will come. apparently
12:11:51 - Maybe games could measure your "heartbeat or body temperature or sweat" but "it's not realistic to have sensors all over your body". Take THAT, Mr Iwata. But maybe, says Kaz, some non-intrusive technology could measure that sort of stuff. How about a magic wand, for example?
12:13:48 - "A little while ago a network was a nice thing to have, but at this point, if you don't have connectivity you're not really there." It's a bit like air conditioning, says Kaz. What?
any FFXIII news?
Well that certainly sucked. Meanwhile, let's have a look at a list of the predictions s famous Sony fansite has whipped out:QuoteSony Computer Entertainment’s head honcho, Kaz Hirai is set to take the stage tonight in Tokyo. Hirai will be giving a Tokyo Game Show keynote titled “Sony’s Computer Entertainment Strategy 2009″. The keynote is scheduled for 9:30PM EST/6:30PM PST. After such major showings at E3, and last month’s Gamescom, is there anything left to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show? We give our Tokyo Game Show predictions after the jump…

PEACE WALKER DEMO RIGHT NOW DOWNLOAD
You need Firmware 6.0 on the PSP
it's MGS4 controls on PSP. Or like any FPS on the PSP. camera is on face buttons, aim is on L, shoot/cqc on R, d-pad for various other things.
Is it like Syphon Filter PSP then? It might actually be playable this time?
Holy Fucking Shit at the lost planet 2 screens. I cannot wait to fight that thing.
Capcom is killing it this generation.
I don't give a shit about Gran Turismo, talk about something else during your conference...
FFVIII in the JP Playstation Store.
Hey, assholes, you still haven't answered my question about the firmware requirement for the MGS demo.

Oh fuck you Nintendo. Fuck you in the ear.
Who needs new games? Let's just Saggle-ize all our old stuff!
PAIN, High Velocity Bowling, Flower, EyePet, and other existing titles will work with it, apparently.
I don't get how the DS3 in one hand and a Saggle in the other will be comfortable, let alone work.
I don't get how the DS3 in one hand and a Saggle in the other will be comfortable, let alone work.
Start practicing with a DS3 in one hand and your cock in the other?

i guess bayonetta is gonna help people with that?
:lol Nice one, Smooth.
I'm out. Wife wants sex and I'll be mocked for the rest of my life if I turn her down to stay up and watch a TGS liveblog.
You don't need OFW 6.0 for the Peace Walker demo. 5.55 works fine.
The game reminds me of Portable Ops done RIGHT. Much better control with better visuals and smoother animation.
Let's hope this press conference is more exciting than the one from Sony earlier. ZZzzz...
looks like mist walker has been officially regulated to ds development hell. fuck i wanted lo2 dammit
:lol @ that PSP Go converter cable

PSPgo "3 free games" thing isn't happening in North America

"Fuck you roundeyes"
PSP go has to be a disaster..
PSP go has to be a disaster..
I was actually excited about the Go when it was first announced. I hate UMDs, but without a feasible option to convert your UMD library w/o repurchasing your games, the Go was doomed from the get go, pun intended.

:rofl
http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/265211up even has it tagged as "Gears of War' :lol
:rofl
This won't be a problem as long as Sony allows the GO to be cracked.
Forget about repurchasing games. Most PSP gamers don't purchase games, period.
People buy PSPs for free games. It's incredibly arrogant for Sony to think otherwise.
If you want to talk Blatent, the new Echochrome PSP game is basically the Echochrome team playing Braid and figuring no one in Japan will know what Braid and figure it's ok to just copy and paste the concept and sell it for $20-40

Katamari on Natal
If this is facetious, you forgot the rolleyes tag. If this is serious, you've forgotten that Sony is putting a non-removable, non-user-serviceable battery in for the stated reason that it will prevent (or make it much more difficult) jailbreaking of the PSP.
Still, there's no battery in the Wii, and that didn't change much.
Where there's a will, there's a way.

But there's a way to load software in a Wii, and Nintendo is notoriously lax about region protection measures. The PSP Go may be inaccessible except to whatever Sony's store allows.
