I'm just going to wait this one out until season 1 is finished, and watch it then. I can't stand waiting a week between episodes for shows like this any more.
Book was awesome (read it years ago), I read the synopsis for the television show and wanted to throw things at the monitor, they hacked it up so bad for stoopid merkins.
Will this be on hulu or something?

Wait, there's a book?

Does ABC do Hulu? I dunno. If not, torrent it or something.

Yeah, by Robert J. Sawyer. Almost all of the main characters are egghead scientists working at CERN instead of worthless shitburger types like in the TV show, quantum physics discussion is free-flowing (while not losing the intense human heart of the story) and can you really feel the characters wrestle with predestination and later immortality.
The Flash Forward is also decades ahead instead of the much different timeframe of the TV show, which makes things far more interesting because then you have a very significant set of the population that "blanked" instead of just a sliver, which has obvious social ramifications.

It's a Brannon Braga show. Go watch any of his shitty TNG Season 6 or Season 7 episodes or ANY shitty episode of Voyager and you'll get an idea on how shitty the show will end up being.
