Obama, White House consider extending unemployment benefits for Redskins coaching staff, players

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House signaled that it will initiate efforts to extend unemployment benefits to Washington Redskins coaching staff and players that will be laid off next week as the NFL franchise seeks to lower costs and stop sucking so fucking much.

"We recognize that these are tough economic times," said Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary, "And considering the competitive employee marketplace in the NFL, and the fact the Redskins coaching staff and its players are so awful, we realize it will be a long time before they find another job - if ever."

Head coach Jim Zorn could not be reached for comment, but television cameras caught the coach filling out his resume on Careerbuilder.com late in the fourth quarter during Washington's 19-14 loss to the Detroit Lions.

I'm sure it's not every good, but hey.

The first sentence needs an "it" after "The White House signaled that."

bububu Jim Zorn is gonna bench Sonny if he doesn't run his plays.

At least Jason Campbell runs Jim Zorn's plays.  I guess.

Wasn't this guy originally OC or head QB coach before they couldn't find a real head coach?  Sounds like they need to start looking for a real head coach again.

Skins, never change  :lol

Can't wait for the Detroit Lions 2009 Season DVD. Lots of fast forwarding through the games before and after this one but "I Believe I can Fly" overlayed to this momentous game.

Now that the 0-16 hymen has been broken, the Browns should easily repeat this feat this year.

Don't sell the Chiefs short either- both teams have new coaches that the players obviously hate and little to no talent.

Then again, the Bucs are pretty awful too.  I think they had something like 22 passing yards today.

Looking at the schedule, I think we can win a couple more games. St. Louis isn't good, and the Browns look fucking horrible. Everything else is a loss, although maybe the Cincy game could go our way

Dude, you beat a team that has quit on its coach, don't start getting delusional about winning anymore games.

I wish female football league games were televised.

Sorry, that's all I have to add to this thread.

Dude, Cincy is one freak play away from being 3-0 this season.  There's no way you beat them... unless Carson Palmer gets hurt or something.

I still don't know why a team would want to ruin a perfectly good losing streak.
