Title: Good jon, Microsoft!
Post by: The Fake Shemp on October 02, 2009, 07:32:33 PM
Got my system back. Well, I got a system back - it's brand new. It's got plastic sticky covers on it and everything. It's so friggin' quiet.

And 1 month of XBL for free. Woo.

It RROD'd last month. It took a couple of weeks, mostly on my end, but they took care of it. Is there a reason why these newer ones are so much quieter?

You can always expect Microsoft to deliver.

65nm gpu/cpu, better liteon/benq dvd drives and whatever small changes they made with the motherboard.

Jealous. I've still got to break down and try that X-clamp fix on my old launch unit, just months out of warranty when it kicked. It was handy having a second 360 to lug around intead of constantly hooking up/unhooking my system every time I went anywhere. Just not $200 handy (my second 360 was a gift).

Yeah, I'm with the complainers here, Willco; "jon" needs to be reserved for attempting and failing to do  the right thing. Sounds like they set you up with the ideal solution, and probably even covered your license transfer to the new system's firmware ID as well.

So good jon on the thread title.   :-*

Sure wish they would have swapped my system when they repaired it here. I'd have loved to get the HDMI port.

To be technical, if we use "good jon" as it was used originally, it is a phrase used when you're so excited that you forget to spell correctly.

I believe Willco used it correctly here.
