Crap. Doesn't look like it works with Japan.

i just used paypal and it worked fine

Yeah... I just did the same Paypal thing, since I have some credit sitting on that account. Very weird; it says "Need more data to send code. Please go to http://www.maximuscards.com/moreppinfo.php" and required that I input my gamertag, the mail associated with that gamertag, a phone number to reach me, and the PayPal invoice number. After googling to see if I've just been lyteedged into a cunning trap of sending funds to scammers and not finding anything untoward, I put that information in, and it says "We'll contact you in the next 12 hours."
...WTF? :maf

those scam sites just ask for email/pass so you are safe...
for now :drake

wtf i didn't even have to put in my gamercard, it just sent me the code ???
-
Thanks for the concern. It's OK -- they sent me a code a few minutes ago, and it checks out.
I know a phishing operation would want email/pass directly, but I was also worried that they could do something else with the PayPal order #. Not sure what triggered the additional information check; I purchased without first registering an account, it was the first order I've made, could have been the IP address I'm at is within a block of suspect addies... I dunno, whatever. It worked.

Yeah, I use him all the time. He's my gamer buddy, hooking me up with cheap points and subs. He even has the American flag on his site!
Heh, I know it looks sketchy, but you use Paypal so I don't think he can steal any info, and I've never had a problem with the points he gives me.
-
alright, i signed up with paypal about a week ago so this is cool. bookmarked.
thanks hon.

Same thing just happened to me even though this is my 2nd time buying from them.
sent the additional info and got the code after 20~30min.

Yeah, I was un-fond of that request for information, all the more so because it seems like they're not even able to verify it against anything. "Gamertag/PSN name/iTunes account"? Huh? Are you just going to see if such a tag exists? How does knowing what email account is associated with that account help you confirm whether or not the points I JUST PAID FOR should be delivered?
-
yeah, pretty dumb move.
but as long as i can get points this way i don't mind the extra security, too lazy to drive for point cards.
