Title: OMG CURRY KETCHUP IS SOOOO GOOOOOOOD
Post by: Human Snorenado on October 08, 2009, 09:25:55 AM: Finally tried some with my morning potatoes. Just mixed a teaspoon of curry powder in with some normal heinz ketchup but OOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGG so good. The curry really brings out the tastes of the ketchup while complimenting it simultaneously. Five noms out of five.

One of the choices is Jamaican Curry and it's NOM NOM NOM. Will have to try mixing curry powder into ketchup tho.

Post by: Mr. Gundam on October 08, 2009, 12:15:58 PM: Try to find a German grocery store/deli, they'll probably sell bottled curry ketchup. Cost Plus, surprisingly, does not carry it.

Last time my parents were in the Netherlands, they brought back a ton of Heinz curry ketchup, but I cannot find that particular brand anywhere in the states.

In general, America doesn't "get" curry. It's a damn shame.

The Southern Season here in Chapel Hill carries the ketchups from Dulcet. They are the bomb, especially the Moroccan one since it has a wonderful zing of harissa in it while being only 10 calories a tablespoon.

The curry one is also really good but we don't eat it that much-we're total junkies for North African flavors.

who the hell said Hellman's is the best? It's the most common supermarket mayo. There are probably plenty of local and smaller brands that are better.

Just do a search on Amazon for "curry ketchup"

or alternately, do what I did and just get some curry powder to mix in with yer ketchup.

There used to be an awesome Belgian fryhouse next to Neumo's on Capitol Hill called Frites. They had the best sauces EVER.

Feierabend in Eastlake has frites with curry ketchup... soooooo good.
