Then again, I think Bayonetta's gonna bomb, too...

The gameplay is much more polished than I would have expected from Double Fine, and of course we know the plot and writing are gonna be top notch. I actually think having some of EA's resources behind them could help Double Fine out in the long run.

Note- I do plan on getting both Bayonetta and Brutal Legend, but I'll get my shootin' on with Borderlands. GUN LEWT! Also, I have a not so sneaking suspicion that I'll end up getting the most enjoyment out of Dragon Age this year.

Apparently there's three main enemy groups you're fighting against- some goth metal dudes, some hair metal dudes, and some s&m metal dudes. Game is gonna be fuck awesome, I'll be picking mine up first thing Tuesday and will probably be up for some multi-player that night.

Because my router died and I have to replace it, so that means that in the meantime I have to switch the fucking cable between the xbox and my computer when I want to use one or the other. All my shit is breaking at the same time- laptop (twice!), router, and the damn dishwasher too.

Psychonauts was mediocre. Schafer is respected because he puts half-decent humor in his games.

Played the demo's of Brutal Legend and Bayonetta. Both horrible games. Not even worth a DVD9.

On the other hand, it has Jack Black and overrated Tim Schafer gameplay. I don't want to pay money for what turns out to be a troll. Fortunately, it will tank and I might snag a $10 clearance copy (wedged in between copies of Madden NFL 08 and Lair) in a few months.

Bayonetta - I saw that .gif of that zoom-in on her crotch. Sorry, I don't like to play games that ritually embarrass the people that play them. Plus Junpei is going apeshit over the game, which probably steered me away from the game more than anything.

Modern Warfare 2 - I'd get this but by the time I'd go online, there'd be dudes clocking in hundreds of hours, making quick work of me whenever I'm in a multiplayer match.

Yes. I thought it was good, albeit pretty simplistic, and the combat didn't feel as smooth as it could be, but this is a game I'd play for its story/dialogue/humor and atmosphere, so it doesn't matter.

Bayonetta lets you cancel combos into other combos, which is pretty nuts for an action game. It's gonna be great.

I like both games and normally wouldn't even think of comparing them. Bayonetta goes into the same class with Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry, not Brutal Legend.

yeah. lets put it this way-- I found out everything I needed to know about BL in one playthrough of the demo. I'm still replaying the Bayonetta demo and learning new shit. It's a deep action game (deep gameplay, not story.)

It is a way of belittling the game. In other words, the game will bomb so hard that retailers will need to do a fire sale to clear out unsold copies of this game.

that tells me there's a certain amount of awareness about it outside the regular video game circles - whether that translates to sales or not i have no idea
