360 Magna Carta 2- $44.99
I went to Fry's this morning and saw a bunch of new PS3/360 games on sale. Pretty good considreing most retailers almost never have any discounts on such new games.
The prices are good until next Wednesday.
-
Gran Turismo PSP is also $20 until next week lol
-
Sad state of affairs when $49.99 is a sale price.
-
Wouldnt mind getting Magna Carta 2
-
360 Way of the Samurai 3- $34.99
360 only? That's a killer price!
edit: It's $35 for both 360 and PS3. All multiplatform games are on sale for both systems. I know what I'm doing after work!

who and or what is a fry's?
Big discount chain on the west coast. Imagine Best Buy without the asshole employees or huge prices or obnoxious advertising.
Guys go to Fry's just to walk around. There's also one in Atlanta.
For the first few years, they were all themed. The one in Manhattan Beach is tiki-themed. Others are Alice in Wonderland, Industrial Revolution, etc.
Also, Black Friday was made for Fry's. Best deals and they always manage to hide their deals until the last day.

I took that last year, before the riots broke out and the police came. (Oh that's a story)
-
Two in Atlanta.
That WoTS3 price is awesome; wish I'd seen that before I ordered from Amazon. I never go to Fry's though; they don't seem to carry too much at their Atlanta locations.
-
Fry's is like the bizaaro Best Buy -- employees pretty much leave you alone which is great if all you want to do is wander the store and look at all the neat tech, but from my experience most of them just hang around and refuse to help you at all when you need them, or worse, dodge you :lol
-
Fry's has great prices, but damn if it's not a little creepy. It's what Best Buy would be if they were gigantic warehouse stores owned by the Russian mafia. You walk in and everything is just sitting on wooden palettes with these archaic Tandy dot-matrix printer labels.
-
haha, yeah I like that it feels like the computer stores I went to as a kid. They were all ghetto dungeons too :P
Computer stores in Japan (at least in rural areas) still tend to be like that too.
-
There's a big electronics store in Atlanta that reminds me a little of a (really shitty) Japanese electronics store. It's called "Brandsmart U.S.A.," and it has got to be the most ghetto electronics store I've ever seen. Shitty, ugly interior and layout, price tags and signs that look like they were swiped off a lemonade stand, and tons of off-brand or last year's product models.
Getting back to the Fry's sale, is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 worth it? I never played the original, so the complaints about it being more of the same wouldn't apply...

If you like Gauntlet style games (and Marvel), then MUA is awesome. I haven't played the second one, but the first was a lot of fun (especially in co-op) so I can't imagine it being much different...

It's not so much the "ghetto dungeon" aesthetic as it is an actual Russian mafia store, since the Renton (Seattle) store's staff is about 75% Eatern European and they all wear cheap black suits and give us off this creepy vibe as they follow you around the store. Stuff being on wooden palettes makes me think that everything just magically "fell off" a truck...

MInd you haven't been to the renton storeeeee in sveral mnths, I mostly found Filipinos and pimply white teens.
But I rarely talk to anybody outside of the parts kiosk or cashiers.
The generic warehouse is what makes it awesome. No fancy shit to mark up the price for like Best Buy. Even though Fry's is 50 (one way) miles from my house it stil cheaper to drive there and pickup computer and game related stuff then to had the 20 miles to BB.

I work in Auburn, but live in Seattle, so I stop by on the way home whenever there's a sweet deal on a game. We also bought our washer and dryers there last Spring.

I will make anyone a moderator if they buy me a copy of Magna Carta 2
Or Icon

You still want it?
I'll probably make another trip to Fry's tomorrow or on Wednesday.
-
Hell yeah I want it
-
I was just kidding about making someone an admin or mod though. Maybe I would replace you with lyte edge, though.
-
I almost believed you.
-
Ok, I'll get a copy for you if they still have it in stock.
Also, I'd be satisfied if you let me replace Lyte Edge for just 1 hour. That's enough time for me to ban or leper the people on my shit list.
-
I can do 1 hour, sure
You have to PM me your shitlist though. Just to give it a once over.
-
Smooth, I always wanted your directx cock.

The ones in California are filled with surly young men who ignore you unless you're looking for something specifically in their section of the store. That, or friendly, matronly Indian women working the front counter who have zero knowledge about what they're selling and sometimes equivalent ability in English.
-
Demi, I got your Magna Carta 2 tonight.
How should I ship it? I've never shipped a videogame before.
-
You actually bought it? Post a pic.
-
Of course I bought it, fool.
Why the hell else would I ask you whether you really wanted it or not?
