Title: Usher Appreciation Thread
Post by: Mupepe on December 14, 2006, 12:38:57 AM
Pre-Yeah Usher, that is.

You Got It Bad (http://youtube.com/watch?v=MyVNoYgsIfE) is jerk off worthy and so is You Make Me Wanna (http://youtube.com/watch?v=kmVPrIuhKMg).

What happened to R&B???  THIS WAS GOOD STUFF.

Boyz II Men Water Runs Dry (http://youtube.com/watch?v=qgAlel2t_DI) is another shining example.

Fuck most of this new R&B

FUCK 'EM

I agree!

Although Usher's "Confessions" album is good, too, although I might just be biased because he's so hot and swoon-worthy. "You Make Me Wanna" was fantastic.

What about Boyz II Men's "End of the Road"?

I remember Nice and Slow was playing one of the first times I made out with a girl in middle school.

Nikki: End of the Road is a classic!  Boyz II Men made a lot of good music.

Bacon: You have awesome taste in music, dude.  MB20, Goo Goo Dolls.  I loves you.  Nice and Slow is awesome but the video is LOL worthy.  Usher knows karate in it.  lolz

Usher owns R&B though.

Everytime Usher releases an album all other R&B artists are like "aww, shit, can't release an album for the next 6 months."

Yeah. Guys like Omarion only seem to come out when Usher is on hiatus. :lol

Outside of Chris Brown (who really shouldn't count) and Ne-Yo (more of a songwriter than artist) I can't think of any big male R&B artists outside of Usher. He's got the genre on lockdown. Confessions basically owned the charts for an entire year. Even when it went off the charts he released the "re-released" version of the album with My Boo and it sold even more. My god
