Here are some more fun facts for futami! During 2004, 50% of all new HIV diagnoses and 50% of new AIDS diagnoses were in black people. As a heterosexual male, in 2004, you had a higher chance of contracting HIV than an injection user! And considering how women contract HIV through heterosexual contact at a much higher rate than men, I'm not sure if you want to bet against the odds.

of course, with females, it's much easier to contract the virus, as they serve as depositories, making infection all the more viable.

Very few people are injection drug users, while the vast majority of people engage in heterosexual sex. You can't compare rates by looking at total case numbers, which still nevertheless show more people in America getting it from drug use then heterosexual sex, overall.
I think I once read that white heterosexual males, who don't use drugs, have a better chance of developing breast cancer than getting AIDS.
Taking a quick look at the numbers. About 1000 white men get breast cancer each year and less than a thousand get HIV through heterosexual sex. The bottom line is you should be more worried about your titties Willco than getting AIDS.

However you failed to note that there are many more heterosexual males than injection drug users. One site claimed that there are about a million active injection drug users in the US, while there are a hundred times as many men who engage in heterosexual sex. Since the total number of HIV infection are about the same between the two groups, the rate of infection is obviously much higher for the average drug user. So you really have more of a chance of contracting HIV through injection drug use then sex.
