I bought last week an AtomisWave board for one of my arcade cab, along with the cartridge for Hokuto No Ken, aka First of the North Star.. The game looks really fun and high res too! Thankfully, the board has an option to run it on an regular standard arcade monitor.

That's a pretty cool lineup.. I'm really interested in that Samurai Spirit game, even if its a bit neutered. I own all the neo-geo ones so it's going to be nice to see it updated. That Knight Of Valour game looks pretty nice too! Does anyone here has experience with any of those games? Some of those games are pretty obscure :O

of those I've played Ranger Mission (pretty decent terrorist themed lightgun shooter), Faster then Speed (crud racing game), Metal Slug 6 (hey, not bad at all there), and Extreme Hunting (like every other arcade hunting game, so, not bad).

Looking over its game library (http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=812&page=1), I'm dismayed by how few of those have ever gotten home ports, but then again, I'm sure that's part of the appeal of owing a arcade setup.  Congratulations on your new setup, I hope you have many good times of sexy with it.

Dolphin Blue
Knights Of Valour
Hokuto No Ken / Fist Of The Northstar (awesome!)
Metal Slug 6
Neogeo Battle Coliseum
Rumble Fish
Rumble Fish 2
Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkakuden
The King Of Fighters Neowave
The King Of Fighters XI

These are the ones I'd get.  I've never played Dolphin Blue, but heard good things.  It's a Metal Slug rip-off.  Ditto on Knights Of Valour, but it's IGS, and they usually do well enough.

Keep in mind that there are PS2 ports for KOF Neowave, XI, Tenka, Hokuto No Ken, Metal Slug 6, The Rumblefish, and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum, so I wouldn't pay too much for any of those.  None of them struck me as being better in arcades; the Atomiswave is basically a Dreamcast, so there's no real technical problems.  Actually, Neowave, Rumblefish, Tenka, and XI are better on PS2, since they have faster load times and/or more characters.

I'd definitely get The Rumble Fish 2.  It never got a home release (the original on PS2 has two characters from the sequel, guess they felt that was enough) and is an awesome fighting game.

It sucks so bad that it never got a home version.   :'(

When's Atomiswave gonna get emulated?  :hyper

it's actually already emulated, but its kinda ghetto. Fist of the north star works fine except from weird sound artefacts. A few more games work alright.

I used to play Dolphin Blue back in the day, was a pretty fun and good looking Metal Slug clone, although I don't really remember much about it anymore.
