Will that be usable in-game?
Also, Twitter and Facebook for anyone who doesn't own one a billion devices to update their status on.
-
No

looking forward to last.fm :-*

Does streaming music scrobble?
-
I don't care about this! Make Last.fm scrobble Zune plays, you bastards!

No,but they did say that if people want that feature in game,it can be included in next update.

Yeah, that'll probably mean more shitheads who paid for the spotty ADSL or 1Mbps (note: bit-not-byte) who are already torrenting assloads of porn, will also want their 128Kps Last.fm stream of Metallica going while they game online and bitch about lag.
I'm just jealous, yes jealous, that Last.fm is coming to Xbox but will be IP locked like movies, or more likely IP locked unless you pay, which is what the service became for non-US and non-UK users earlier this year. :'( >:(

If they implemented in-game last.fm I am sure they would disable it when going online. Similar to how they turn off your downloads.

I haven't tried the update yet but Japan actually has its own last.fm: http://www.lastfm.jp/
So there is a SLIM possibility that this will work here then, i guess. I've pretty much given up on the 360 as a music player because of how retardedly hard it is to browse files. The only real option for me is to go in and manually edit every single playlist I have, which would take an army of sex-dwarves about 3 months to do. PS3 wins here. :bow PS3 Media Server :bow2
Although why no search function! Or jump to letter groups! Gah! Are we still living in a world where people only have like 40 CDs that they listen to over and over?

I've tried both of these before and at the time, they either didn't consistently scrobble the correct songs (which seemed to be more of a problem with the Zune software incorrectly identifying songs) or they'd only scrobble the last 10 plays or so. Last.fm officially supports iPod scrobbling. It's time to get on board with the Zune as well.

Music you have in common includes The Aquabats, Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers and Reggie and the Full Effect.

Although right now I'm going with a different theme of music. ;)

Thanks for that URL. I tried it, and logging in takes users to the default last.fm site, with their usual login information. Successful login returns the same *Did you enjoy your trial period?" message that any non-paying user outside the USA or UK receives after their 30-day trial.
Last.fm announced that the US$3/month fee is what they pay to the record companies to be able to stream music to non-US IP addies. When I saw that URL, I'd hoped they'd come to an agreement with the Japanese equiv. RIAA to stream within Japan.

Shit's IP locked in Japan, doesn't seem to be any way to pay for it for access, not that I would want to. Oh well, doesn't seem like we're missing much.
-
well, screw them then. other services are obviously managing to cover that cost via ads. There's another J iPhone app for this now, btw: finetune
I'm still happy with imeem so haven't really checked it out much but it seems to cover all the right bases, judging from the feature list.
edit: finetune has garbage sound quality, avoid avoid avoid
-
Yeah thanks for being my first Lastfm friends! :)

Last.fm was mediocre whenever I used it, and even their desktop app is neutered at download for the non-covered regions like Japan. Their tech support even showed me how to unlock the app, but shortly thereafter they made non-US/UK access a for-pay proposition after a 30 day trial. Pfffffff.
iMeem is OK, though their selection is small. Or they don't have much to recommend to me. I still miss Pandora.
