It will be a video from opening cinematic.

master chief in an epic battle, shooting dudes, making narrow escapes, and some miniscule hint towards a new feature in the game that I won't notice but that the internet will tell me about a second after it happens.

Bungie, here's how to "premiere" this game.  Make the fucking beta/demo/whatever available for everyone who bought ODST already.

Space marines are so passe.  Bungie need to start making semi-realistic modern combat games.

#9 on the latest activity charts. Though you wouldn't know it since you can only play online with people on your friend list.

It's like I'm really playing a Wii game.

Bungie need to stop making shit and make something good like Marathon.

(I have no idea if Bungie themselves are developing Halo: Retch and I don't care).

It sold like 3 million copies.

I haven't even finished the campaign, but I do still play Halo 3 MP.

I still play Halo 3 MP. In fact, it's all I play.

But as for campaign continuation, why bother? I've given my reasons before, so I'll skip them this time and just say they'll never match Halo 1.

Plus any Halo game they put out at this point isn't going to be as good as Pimps at Sea.

While I'm sure whatever they show will be nothing of consequence, if you're a Halo fan, Reach seems like a legit experience rather than ODST which always felt more like a MS marketing scheme at $60.

New Real multiplayer. New engine. 3 years in development. Some fundamental changes to the core experience.

Like I said if you're a Halo fan that's what you want. Of course like with any series if you are burned out on it, then that's another issue but this seems like a legit full Halo experience rather than ODST which should have probably been a piece of DLC like the GTA DLC if we are talking value.

Exactly. Don't go DNF on the Pimps, Bungie.

Halo fantards claim that ODST was a real change too. It's not a difficult crowd to please.

Nobody even knows how Reach will play (other than that it's an fps halo game) so how can you tell if they did any major changes?

It's probably a bit unfair to judge any group by their most rabid extreme delusional fans. I think it's possible to objectively step back though and see that there is a big difference between Reach and ODST simply based on what they are and the time and resources put into each.

Nobody even knows how Reach will play (other than that it's an fps halo game) so how can you tell if they did any major changes?

While its all rumoured there is a lot of good reason simply based on how the world has changed to think the proper reach MP will be a bit different than Halo 3. "Different" being of course subjective. I doubt it will suddenly radically change and be unrecognizable as from the Halo style of course but most people are assuming this will be class based version of Halo.

I was hoping for Halo: The Reacharound myself.

It's named based on the planet Reach.

Quote
Reach was a Human world in the Epsilon Eridani System, located within the Inner Colonies. This planet was one of the most important headquarters for the United Nations Space Command and the main supplier of military and civilian spacecraft. High Command, Fleet Command and the Marine Corps maintained headquarters on Reach, as well as many primary Naval Intelligence bases, which included the highly classified CASTLE Base.

After the Battle of Reach, the planet was mostly glassed. When UNSC forces finally abandoned the planet, a small Covenant occupation fleet remained in the system.

Personally, I'm waiting for Halo 4: Return to Onyx.  Will still be getting Reach though.  :rock
