The Fantastic Mr. Fox sounds like a good movie

Avatar is nothing more than a tech demo

Avatar's aesthetic is marginally better than Mr Fox's purely by the fact that stop-motion furries are creepy as hell and cg furries are at least a little cartoony.

Oh by the way is Mr Fox set in Cumbria or Yorkshire as Dahl intended? The trailer for Mr Fox made it look like Ocean's Eleven with furries.

I tried googling it but I got WikiFur site. That's right, there exists a Wiki site for FURRIES! Now I gotta wash my eyes with acid.

The trailer for Mr Fox made it look like Ocean's Eleven with furries.

From what I was told, the trailer is a very poor first impression of the movie.

Avatar also has Jarvis Cocker in it.  And David Bowie.

Prole, you forgot the Princess and the Frog and Twilight: Sexy Wolf Edition. Come to think of it, are there any movies currently out or coming out that don't have undertones of bestiality?

Avatar is still one hundred percent oversexualized furfaggotry and shouldn't be seen by anyone.

You'll change your tune when I dress up in a blue furry costume and furry your cornhole into Stockholm style submission.  Then you'll be begging me to take you to see Avatar.  :-*

None of the above.  I remain furfag free.  I don't even see those Dreamworks and Pixar movies.  It's like a gateway drug into furfaggotry.

Prole annihilated. Fantastic Mr. Fox was AMAZING. Even...fantastic. It dips a bit from the Pixar well, in that it's technically a "kid's movie", but it doesn't pander to kids and adults will probably appreciate it a bit more in any case. Funny from start to finish, sometimes poignant, and other times exciting. The animation style was great, as was the music.

The only people that won't enjoy this are crotchety old men like Prole.

Will watch both in a few months when on dvd/blu-ray.

Though, maybe watching Avatar in 3D Imax will be worth it.

Love that book. I must have read it a dozen times as a kid. In retrospect, it's kind of astonishing that stuff like Horton Hears a Who (which doesn't even have a story) got movified before this.

Your platform against The Fantastic Mr. Fox was doomed to fail once Synthesizer Patel called it "a film for the ages".

On the Borecast, Prole mentioned a "previous guest" was getting all excited about what the Wii could do (vs. what it actually did, which is generic wagglecrap).  I suspect this previous guest is Patel.

If he biffed so badly on the Wii's potential, why should I trust his opinion on a questionable furfag flick?
