We had this discussion months ago when the new remasters came out, but fuck it, let's do it again. It's been months, maybe some opinions changed.
1. Abbey Road - most consistent, no bad track I don't want to skip.
2. White Album - best double lp? name better.
3. Sgt. Pepper's - would be my favorite if not for Getting Better, Lovely Rita and Within You Without You.
4. Rubber Soul
5. Help!
6. Past Masters
7. Magical Mystery Tour
8. Let It Be
9. Revolver
None of the rest are worth mentioning.
-
They are all worse then any Wings album.
-
Revolver last? Really? This is why black people shouldn't be allowed to listen to the Beatles.
-
Revolver zzz
-
Never listened to a Beatles album, but my sources say they're all classics.
-
:bow WHITE ALBUM :bow2

Revolver zzz
Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, Tomorrow Never Knows, Got to Get You Into My Life, Good Day Sunshine, Yellow Submarine... yeah, black people shouldn't be allowed to listen to the Beatles. Help, Let it Be and White Album ranked above it? Pfft.

1. Abbey Road - most consistent although there is filler (Mean Mr Mustard, Polythene Pam)
2. White Album - second disk isn't nearly as good as the first disk.
3. Sgt. Pepper
4. Revolver -
5. Magical Mystery Tour
6. Rubber Soul - Think For Yourself and The Word are filler
everything else is a second rate rip off of better music (Sam Cooke), and Let it Be is forgettable
-
:bow PD :bow2
The same top 3

I agree that a lot of their pre-Sgt. Pepper's work is derivative, but Help! has Yesterday, man. Yesterday.
-
1. Abbey Road - medley :drool
2. MMT - Their most consistent album. There isn't a single bad track to be found.
3. Rubber Soul - Yet another consistent album. There aren't any bad songs, but MMT has Walrus and Strawberry Fields
4. Revolver - This album would probably be my number 1 if it weren't for Yellow Submarine. Fuck you, Ringo.
5. Sgt Pepper - Strong start but it gets kinda boring after She's Leaving Home. A Day in the Life is one of the greatest songs of all time, though. :o
6. Let It Be - Vastly underrated album. There are some throwaway tracks, but everything else is really good. (I Me Mine <3)
7. White - Waaaaay to schizophrenic. It still boggles my mind that Helter Skelter and Revolution 9 can be on the same disc. ???
-
4. Revolver - This album would probably be my number 1 if it weren't for Yellow Submarine. Fuck you, Ringo.
Yellow Submarine is a Lennon/McCartney song.
-
What the fuck is wrong with Yellow Submarine? Get over yourselves elitist scum!
-
lol pd
And I agree, Archie. Sgt. Pepper's get super boring after She's Leaving Home. If the rest of the album were like the tracks up to that point, it'd be the best Beatles album imo.
-
1. Abbey Road
2. Revolver
3. Sgt. Pepper
4. Rubber Soul
5. The Beatles
6. Magical Mystery Tour
7. Let It Be... Naked
8. Help!
9. A Hard Day's Night
10. Let It Be
11. Please Please Me
12. With the Beatles
13. Beatles for Sale
14. Yellow Submarine
Outside the canon, I'd throw Past Masters vol. 2 above Magical Mystery Tour, vol. 1 above With the Beatles, and the Cirque du Soleil compilation "Love" above Let It Be.
Also, Blonde on Blonde > The White Album.
-
I should check out Dylan.
-
All Eyez On Me>White Album>The Wall>>>Dylan's career
-
All Eyez on Me? :lol
I haven't listened to disc 2 of AEOM in years.
What about Life After Death? I think that album is aight.
-
The Wall :lol
Terrible trolling attempt.
-
The Wall is...wow. It has a lot of great songs but...a lot of crap too :(
-

Like the White Album
-
Disagree. I don't think White Album has that much crap. Most of the songs are listenable, which is rare when it comes to double lp's for me.
-
4. Revolver - This album would probably be my number 1 if it weren't for Yellow Submarine. Fuck you, Ringo.
Yellow Submarine is a Lennon/McCartney song.
Ringo sang it so I hold him responsible. :maf
-
Blonde on Blonde > Abbey Road.

I'd give my reasons, but law school. . . :-\ :( :'(
I will say that my opinion of Pepper's has improved after listening to the remastered disc.
