Title: ps3 deals?

i'm looking to buy a ps3 for someone as a gift.  what are the best deals/bundles this year?  thanks!

You missed some nice deals for Black Friday.  Amazon had some nice bundles.  I'm sure they'll be more.  I would just check cheapassgamer.com or check out their Twitter feed, which highlights new deals http://twitter.com/videogamedeals.

Wal-mart (urgh) had the best Black Friday deal: PS3 slim + Arkham Asylum + Infamous + Dark Knight Blu-ray for $299.

That's pretty great. Hell, I'd have been all over that. I paid full price for a non-bundle (except a free HDMI cable -- WOW!).

I bought one of the $600 60GB units back in February 2007. I'm glad I've got full PS2 backwards compatability, but $600... yeouch.

Buy the $78 Magnavox BRD player at Walmart (it's profile 1.1) then buy a 360 Elite for $199 since it comes with 2 games and you got a better gift for less than a PS3.

manabyte: i would and i even suggested it, but he has his heart set on a damn ps3.  lame.

So for less you get an inferior system and a inferior BD drive! Awesome!
