Title: 360 Question
Post by: Billy Rygar on December 08, 2009, 05:00:49 PM
I'm trying to recover my gamertag but it won't save to the hard drive.  There was a corrupted profile, I deleted that, but it still won't save my profile.  Tips?

What do you mean won't save to your hard drive.  Can you recover it?  Or is it stopping during the recovery process?

or just reset router/try again at a different time.

It stops during recovery.

It does that sometimes when Live is being dumb.  I had that happen once and was worried about losing my account.  Then later that night it finally worked.

I'd suggest to keep trying every few hours.

I had the same experience as bebpo where it magically worked the next day.  It might also have to do with the holiday season and too many new accounts being handled at once.

I had a similar problem and I tried couple days later and it recovered.  I think the databases get borked sometimes.

You should go through all your hard drive now deleting the exclamation points.
