I spent the night raiding fighting guilds for supplies, riding my FREE HORSE from the GULLIBLE MONK all the way down to my underwater demonic lair. I stopped several places just to take in the view, the games fucking gorgeous. The framerate isn't always rock steady but man do the forests look great. I also look like a badass as I take a few arrows on my shield and calmly draw my silver longsword and charge the stupid archer. I love how the arrows stay in the shield for a good while. After big fights against multiple enemies I always have a crapload of arrows sticking outta me.
So yeah, second try 'getting into' oblivion and its definately taking this time around. Its probably helping im actually TRYING TO FOLLOW QUESTS instead of stealing all of the worlds cups.

Should I get Knights of the 9 or whatever. I was pretty burnt out on Oblivion toward the end.

Well its a new quest line, and I havent actually tried any of it yet. Not sure what else it adds on the side. Its MORE Oblivion tho, so if youre burned out on Oblivion I dont think an expansion pack that has simply MORE will make it different enough.
Then again its only 10 bux.

Yeah, I was really amazed at how awesome the game looks in 720p (and widescreen!). Big difference, IMO. Looks like all the high-end PC shots people post.

Why don't you just go to the Blades fortress to get weapons? Don't fighting guilds usually have crap compared to what's in there?

Lyte: A lot of the mods for Oblivion PC are REALLY nice, but at widescreen 720p im pretty much set on 360. I tried GoW for the first time on my tv and crapped my pants.

Yeah, Oblivion looks really good on my TV. I wish I would have played it after the patch was released though.

The one that cuts down the "Loading Area" screens down to almost nothing when browsing the overworld.

Yeah I havent seen a loading area screen almost at all, but I think its doing a lot more streaming to compensate cause the draw distance seems weird now and it sometimes FEELS like its loading little bits at a time if youre on horseback. On foot its not too bad tho.

I haven't popped Oblivion in since it erased my 30+ hour SUPER THEIF DARK ELF MASTER OF THEIEVES AND ASSSSSASIANS and the Arena and Vampire God Total. Megaton sadness. But I just restarted a few weeks ago as a tall, muscle-y nordic crusader. I've been holding off viewing it in HD until it gets really cold out and I don't feel like stepping outside anymore.
