No, there's a difference between true hipster and hipster hipster.  I, the latter, watch classics like Juno, Life Aquatic, and whatever other Reitman/Anderson/stripper flicks there are.

i have a weird love hate with that film

i don't really like the tone, but i like enough of the scenes to enjoy it

it just seems a step to far removed from actual comedy to me.

I agree with that wholeheartedly. Is there nothing more frustrating than a film that struggles with tone, even moreso when they wildly contrast?
