Daybreakers offers a flawed but thoroughly enjoyable, happy-making trip.
A rock-solid afternoon matinee sort of movie, packed as it is with so many disparate genre influences. Confidently crafted and legitimately clever.
Horror fans should be looking forward to this one.
While it's far from perfect, Daybreakers is an incredibly fun movie. Loaded with talents actors, beautiful camerawork (a stunning slow-mo shot in the finale proves this) and buckets of blood, I can't recommend this enough.
...an exciting (albeit slightly uneven) addition to the vampire-movie canon.
Kind of fell off my radar after I saw a trailer for it several months ago, but it's nice to see that it's turned out okay at least.

Oh wow, it's a bunch of "reviews" from horror-centric websites who I'm sure only use credible reviewers that aren't predisposed to like any random crap from their favorite genre. Totally reliable.

Bloody Disgusting is wrong about almost everything (except Ils of course, because it's fucking awesome).

Yeah, and that's why I didn't say "Early consensus on Daybreakers: It's totally awesome, best movie of 2010, guys!!" and said that it sounded like it was at least "Okay".

I heard that this film has been sitting on the shelf for a couple years now.

They finished principal photography a little over two years ago.

That's some post.
I've been mildly intrigued, but what can I say, other than I know Eric P and I will see at some point and time because we see all horror films.
