Title: There goes the PS3
Post by: ManaByte on December 21, 2009, 07:24:31 PM: Well, my 60gig backwardly compatible PS3 won't read BluRay discs anymore. I was really just using it to watch movies, but now that the drive won't read discs I guess that's it.

It's being replaced with a stand alone player. The few PS3 games I own will be traded in for 360 credit.

Stand alone BR players are cheap now, luckily.

You can get a stand alone for less than Sony charges to fix a launch PS3.
