Plot: Tobacco industry lobbyist Nick Naylor has a seemingly impossible task: promoting cigarette smoking in a time when the health hazards of the activity have become too plain to ignore. Nick, however, revels in his job, using argument and twisted logic to place, as often as not, his clients in the positions of either altruistic do-gooders or victims. Nick's son Joey needs to understand and respect his dad's philosophy, and Nick works hard to respond to that need without compromising his lack of values.

Just saw this movie. It's a pretty smart and funny, cynical comedy. Loved it, great fun to watch.

Movie is awesome and its pretty much the only reason why I'm excited to see up in the air.

Yeah I love this movie. Disliked Juno something fierce. Figured I'd go see Up In The Air and ended up enjoying it. Kinda felt unease with it at times because I've been laid off a couple times and there are some prety painful scenes in there about it.

Liked this a lot. "Thank god for the....whatever...device"
-
pretty shitty trailer for a pretty okay movie
-
whoa, that isn't bull pullman or bill paxton. mind blown!
-
I dug it.

Great movie which I need to get around to watching again.
-
I watched this fairly recently for the first time as well and loved it.
-
this film was pretty disappointing. Not cynical, satirical or clever enough
-
Loved this movie.

Thought the movie was great. I saw it in theaters when it opened and there were literally three others besides me there (two that I went with). In fact, as terrible as Juno is, I think what saves it from ungodliness was Jason Reitman. Jennifer's Body only confirms this suspicion. Still need to see Up in the Air, but the first teaser was awesome (and surprisingly only made me interested in the movie without telling me the entire story--as opposed to every other movie save for, maybe, Moon)

It was fun, but I would have enjoyed it much more if I wasn't constantly being distracted by the gaping wound in Aaron Eckhart's chin
