Title: How is Empire Earth II?

The platinum edition is on sale at D2D for $5.

I've never played any of the Empire Earth games, so looking for some opinions/info.

I always thought the entire series was really clumsy and unfun. I tried to like both I and II but failed, which is saying something given how much of a huge RTS and huge history fan that I am.

Find a copy of Rise of Nations if you want that sort of epoch-spanning RTS gameplay done right.

Are the Empire Earth games the ones where the AI "cheats" on harder difficulties by randomly spawning extra people, buildings, and military units?
