I have some people coming over but I don't really want to play Rock Band for several hours with these guys. I was curious if you could suggest any games which could be played by 2+ casual people in the same living room.
I have Castle Crashers aaaaaaand that's about it but am open to almost any suggestions.

All the board game stuff, like Carcassone(sp?) are good times. In fact, get that, so I can play you online.
-
There are a ton of good fighters in the store, by the way. Something like Marvel vs Capcom 2 is good times, even if they're not big into fighters.
-
I would suggest a Wii. Seriously.
There are very few 3 or 4 people local co-op games on the 360. Most of the multiplayer stuff is geared towards online play. (Which is perfect for my taste of course but not so great for people who still play local co-op games)
You have some stuff like Bomberman, Castle Crashers, Splosion Man, Peggle, etc but not honestly a lot of that stuff. Some of the shooters are at least co-op so you can have two player action and pass the joystick. Gears of War, Modern Warfare Spec Ops, etc.
Here is a site you can check out.

Don't tease with that. He may not know you're joking and buy that pile of shit.

TMNT > Castle Crashers
-
TMNT > Castle Crashers
I thought Castle Crashers was a bit over-rated but I think its leagues beyond that awful TMNT game.
-
i played the demo of tmnt and it was pretty god awful
if nothing else, castle crashers looks pretty as i absurdly button mash and run to the right

Whatever people think about the Wii on here I would argue local co-op is the one thing it has going for it. Mainly because Nintendo targets a younger demo and doesn't care about online at all.
I would play NSMB, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart, etc before I touched the 360 or PS3 party co-op stuff.
-
Brawl would probably be fun if you have some Gamecube controllers
-
Wii sucks.
Eric P is obviously playing with civilized people, not children. No Wii games.
-
is Commando 3 any good? I enjoy the original and liked the demo, but didn't know if it screwed the pooch

They made a vidya version of Ticket to Ride? That's really cool.
-
Yeah and it's actually a lil' expensive when you buy all the expansions - but not nearly as expensive as buying the original board game would be!
-
Woah, Space Invaders Extreme and 'Splosion Man both have four player local co-op?
AWESOME
4p online too, help me finish the multi so I can get 200 on it
-
Splosion Man is best in local co-op because in online co-op it's near unplayable in the tougher levels.
-
They patched it bro.
-
Oh, nevermind.
-
Worms?
Geometry Wars II?
-
dont buy tmnt
its not the fucking awesome version that was in arcades in the 90s
