For all the fans who bought Five Dollar Footlongs, or tweeted or blogged about their love of the show in the weeks leading up to the renewal, know that the new season brings with it the same wonderful mix of comedy, action and romance that it had last season. And know that the plot twist from the end of last season that gave nerd-turned-spy Chuck (Zachary Levi) the ability to do kung fu has not fundamentally changed what made the show sing before.
Not only is "Chuck" back, but he's received an upgrade -- courtesy of the spy supercomputer that's taken up residence in his brain. The girly-screaming rookie of the first two seasons becomes a full-fledged agent this year, with some specialized skills that come in surprisingly handy: Kung fu! Zip-lining! Mariachi guitar playing!
The new season gets off to a decent start as friendships rekindle (Chuck and best friend Morgan become roommates) and new parties get involved in subterfuge. Of five episodes sent for review, the best are episodes 3-5, which give Chuck's brother-in-law, Devon (Ryan McPartlin), more to do now that he knows Chuck's secret.
Just so you'd know it's serious, NBC sent out five episodes of Season 3, all of which are quite lively and fun. Although by no means deeper or darker than he was before, Levi's Chuck now regularly transforms from St. Bernard-puppy adorableness to James Bond capability literally in the blink of an eye, which adds even more edge to the satiric nature of the show.
After a second season that saw already-low ratings decline, NBC took a chance by bringing “Chuck” back for a third, shortened season. As the network has struggled this year due to a number of horrible decisions (most of them related to Jay Leno), most of its lineup has been hit. Let’s hope “Chuck” bucks the trend because this cult hit has arguably never been better.
A thousand spies couldn’t figure out why NBC has treated this series with such disrespect. At least the show’s gone from top secret to open file status. Tell your friends about it, because it should not be for your eyes only.
Chuck is dumb and derivative, but despite that it has its charms and ends up being good.Sums up my thoughts. Chuck is just fun, somehow. It's too forumulaic and really lacks anything that makes it genuinely great, but goofiness of Jeffster and Baldwin, long with the action sequences keep it worth watching.
That clip Willco posted makes the show look pretty awful.
Wow.
Ha it actually looks like some pretty enjoyable fluff. I'll probably get around to watching it eventually, if only for that insanely hot blonde
Big Mike :heartbeat

Yvonne is the hottest chick on television:

I'd definitely take Yvonne over Christina. :drool
But you gotta admit, Christina is close.
The internet is all about rankings, dude! YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE
I'm going to bring the sexy back:

That Yvonne chick you guys keep posting just seems like a fairly generic hot blonde chick to me.
I wish I could find that hilarious scene where Casey is shooting pictures of targets. Ronald Reagon's picture shows up and he winks at it. :lol
:bow Adam Baldwin :bow2
:bow ANIMAL MOTHER :bow2
Ichirou also hates Psych! BURN HIM ALIVE!
:lol you would take that skinny blonde chick over Hendricks?
What is so funny? Are you saying you would say no to this?

One thing I'll agree with Ichi is that the clips Willco's posting aren't really making a good case for the show.
what does Chuck have to do with Subway? also that blonde girl is bor-ing
that blonde girl is bor-ing
You like Asari? Asari are the most BORING race in the galaxy of Mass Effect.
EDIT: "stunning"? she does literally nothing for me. :/ Maybe it's cause I live in Orange County where all the girls look like that and it's fucking boring

Could be the case, I live in the north east where obnoxious brunettes are the local flavor.
Like the chicks from Jersey Shore?
My type is, like, Nakama Yukie. So hawt. :heartbeat
These generic blondes do nothing for me.

Short bondes!
Yvonne chick >>>>>>>>>> Ichi Chick :yuck
it's okay, not all blondes can look like Tilda Swinton :heart
fuckin evilboreThe first thing that any guy here thinks when they see that Chuck girl is "would", but that doesn't make her the hottest blonde on TV, especially compared to Christina Hendricks.
> that bloated red headed whale from that AMC show.
but that doesn't make her the hottest blonde on TV, especially compared to Christina Hendricks.
She is not a natural redhead, but she is naturally sexy.but that doesn't make her the hottest blonde on TV, especially compared to Christina Hendricks.???
I really enjoyed the season premiere. Except that the whole "No More Mr. Nice Spy" ad campaign has been a load of bull. Chuck is now more unbearable than ever.
... so what's the over/under on Chuck turning into a bad guy?
That first episode last night was predictable and not very good. I'm a big fan of Chuck Seasons 1 & 2 but if Season 3 is going to be watered down for a larger audience then I'm going to have to remove it from the DVR queue.
The two-hour return of "Chuck" gave the Buy More hero NBC's highest rating for the show since the show's special 3D telecast that aired the day after the Super Bowl.
The first episode of "Chuck" drew 7.7 million viewers and a healthy 3.0 preliminary rating among adults 18-49, with the second drawing 7.2 million and a 2.9 rating.
If you excluded the special 3D episode, you have to go all the way back to 2007 to find a "Chuck" episode rated this high. "Chuck" also improved 58% (!!) on its "Dateline" lead-in and was up 21% compared to last season's average.
The action-drama, which was barely renewed and at one point NBC considered airing the show on Friday nights, posted some of NBC's best scripted drama numbers this season.
Budget cuts. :-\
BUY YOUR SUBWAY YOU JERK IT IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. SUPPORT CHUCK OR DIE! :punch
Yeah, I thought it was "eh". I dug the second episode. From all reports, it picks up the next few episodes.

Best show ever?
After tonight's episode, I get this sinking feeling that things are not going to end well for Chuck.
Yeah, Chuck becoming a spy is not as cool as I thought it would be.
I don't know what I feel about all this. Is Morgan going to have a breakdown?
GODDAMIT CHUCK YOU HOMO
You guys should stop watching this show so Yvonne Strahovsky has no choice but to do 'white women with no ass' fetish porn videos.
What got you banned? Did you insult the dignity of women, or make a comment that might possible be construed as politically incorrect against Islam and/or the gay community?
The focus on the Sarah/Chuck thing doesn't ruin the season
Asshole?
Lemme guess, you're one of those guys who thinks that girls go for "assholes" instead of "nice guys"?
It hasn't reseted to the end of last year, wtf are you talking about. Most of Chuck's friends know about him now, Sarah has out-right come out with ehr feeling for him, they're together, and Shaw is dead. I think it's wrapped up most of last year's questions quite well, other than where the fuck his dad has been. Which seems to be being dealt with in the next few eps.
I still find it quite humorous, as well.

It was NBC's fault (as it always is), since they ordered the back 6 a couple of episodes into this season and fucked the writers up with trying to create a proper arch.
how the fuck did he have sarah in the end of season when nothing happened other than a (quite hot) make-out session? And how, again, was he a badass superspy when he half-assed his dad's rescue and only barely scraped by with the new intersect?
You're reaching.
Okay, I watched the season finale and yeah, the Sarah x Chuck is definitely heavy handed in this. But it's still a really good season finale.
Also, the CG fire :rofl
