It's shockingly good for chain delivery pizza. Crust is no longer the consistency of cardboard, and they slather some heart attack butter mixture on the outside of the crust that makes it :drool
Honestly, it's probably better than Papa John's now. Of course, local pizza joints and Mellow Mushroom still crap all over either, but if you need some pizza and want it quick/cheap I have to say the new Domino's is pretty damn good.
-
I liked it. :)
-
Totally agreed. There's a Dominos a couple minutes from my house, and because it's so close to campus students get discounts all the time. I rarely took advantage of them because the pizza was so crappy. The grease made it soggy, the crust tasted like cardboard, and the grease just made it taste bad.
But now holy shit, I'm very impressed. The Parmesan cheese gets rid of the grease taste, the garlic butter crust is great, etc.
A $5 pizza from Little Caesers is a fucking great deal, but I'm more than willing to pay an extra $1.50-2.00 for something that tastes like something more than generic chain pizza
-
Yes. Order the Philly Cheese Steak pizza from Dominos and jizz.
-
I don't even know where the closest Domino's is. Probably wouldn't bother trying it out anyway. There are so many local pizza places in my area.
-
Well yea, you're in New York. I'm in Michigan :'(
dunno where Triumph is but it ain't NY
-
Last time I had Domino's I spit it back out of mouth, no joke.
I once saw tiesto at one of the local pizza places, actually. :o
-
I'm probably crazy, but I think Domino's changed its pizza recipe a long time ago in Canada. There's no difference since the US campaign started.

Saw a Domino's delivery car pull up at my next-door neighbor's house the other day - was just SMH.

meee toooo

I had it. It was burned all to shit and the employee was a cock, and the box smelled like cigarettes.
I was the one who egged the others on into doing it too, so all eyes were on me lol.
-
I wonder if they changed the recipe over here too, Domino's was always proud about how they use the same quality ingredients everywhere in the world.
-
:lol
-
as my friend put it, it's like they took the crazy bread sticks and used it for the crust. Oddly enough, if you microwave it in the morning, it tastes just like the old recipe ???
it's a bit better, but still meh. but there aren't many places in chicago that deliver late and can feed a small group of people for about $20-25, so we've had it a bunch of times lately.
-
I had some today at work as part of a communal gorging of some sort. Still very much prefer thin crust/whole wheat, the new crust seemed very greasy and salty/fatty.

I don't think it ever changed here. My friend always orders Domino's and it has tasted the same (mediocre) as long as I can remember.

Pepperoni and Salami?
As someone who spent many years in texas, i'd like to state that your wagner's pizza american style is inauthentic
-
I think the sauce was supposed to be "texan". Dunno. It was pretty good. How would a real Texan Pizza look?
distinguished mentally-challenged, probably.
-
I'd ask FoC but he's probably still bed ridden after Texas getting embarrassed by Bama
-
i don't even know what a texan sauce would be, lol
it's just that texas is not something i'd associate with pizza
-

Also known as "pulling a Colt McCoy".
-
ill try it just to get my money back and get a free pizza
theres no way in hell a chain will ever be as good as ginos
-
we have some pretty good pizza joints here in town, what with all the goombahs that move down here and all
-
'texas/texan' is usually code for barbecue sauce.

The type of "texan" pizza I learned is where you substitute bbq sauce for tomato sauce and chicken/beef instead of cheese. It actually tastes good.
-
So it's...not a pizza.
-
Greasier and more garlic, that's about all I could tell.
I miss Swedish pizza. :gloomy

Where? I've tried Elizabeth's and Michaelangelo's and the former was ok but the latter was meh.

I'm thinking salsa, maybe.
