Title: Castlevania: Curse of Darkness -- B-grade decent or anal spew total?

After playing Portrait of Ruin, I'm in a Castlevania mood, but there's only one CV game I've never played: Curse of Darkness. And while I didn't hate Lament of Innocence (it didn't really excite me, either, and had some really aggravating 3D platforming bits), I kinda want a new Castlevania game to dork around with. If it's even slightly better than Lament, I'll give it a shot. Anyone have some real experience (i.e. not kneejerk hate) with this game to share? Is the soundtrack as awesome as Lament's? Camera any better or worse? Less or more 3D platforming?
