Title: I think my router is dying.

It's been randomly kicking me on and off, and now the intervals between disconnects is getting shorter and shorter. My brother, who is hardwired into the router, is also getting randomly disconnected. I've also seen it disappear completely (and then reappear) from the wireless network list.

I'm guessing it's pretty much dead.

The disconnecting has become such an issue that I'm using my phone as a modem right now. Works pretty well, I must say!

It's Netgear. It's lasted a little over three years. Is that about the shelf life of a router?

I was probably going to pick up a cheap replacement at Best Buy tomorrow.

I had the same issues but it was my modem that was the problem not the router.

Is this what happened when we were playing MW2 Saturday? Did you get booted before we won?

Got a new router yesterday. Works like a charm.
