yeah, he was apologizing to his kids (or maybe relatives?) but he was the least fun guy on the show and was obviously taking it too seriously so I was actually rooting for him to get kicked off.

One of the shows problems is that its impossible to get excited about either the reward or the people, and these two problems are obviously closely related. What type of person is really in to being a game tester? Based on the first episode its the same type of milquetoast you would actually expect to find in the game-testing department. Not much personality. They kicked off the only interesting member of the show, and for what? For the future integrity of EyeToy: Monkey Mania 2? Who cares! Every contestant on this show should be Barmy level cretinous. If Sony had culled eight Gollums from across the basements of America and put 'em in a big plastic house I'd totally watch. They should have gone circus anthropology a la Jersey Shore rather than American Idol for game testing.

Unsurprisingly Hal Sparks looked like he wanted to kill himself at the judges panel.
