Title: Final Fantasy X Thread of Obnoxious Laughter and Blitzball Blues

Hey EB, I'm playing through this game again. Join me in the merriment. I'm gonna try and Blitz ( :smug) through this game before the month is out, but you fellas can go at your own pace. Share your stories and thoughts as you progress through the wonderful game that is Final Fantasy X.

Let's all drown in semen.

EDIT: I forgot Rikku has a massive cameltoe at the beginning of this game. Plus 10 points already.

Wayne seems like a really chill guy. It's kind of amazing how different they are now from their 'Transmissions' days. I'd ask if I could get an autograph, but I'm not really into that whole celebrity/musician worship. I'd rather just have a chat with Wayne than his signature.

Well I'm more speaking in reference to the fact that your friend lives near him. Though that doesn't really mean anything. I want to catch one of their New Year's shows sometime. It would totally be worth the flight to catch them live. Does Wayne still do the bubble?

That's where the band and roadies stay when they're in town. I've never talked to him, but my friends who have say he's super down to earth. My friend who lives in his neighborhood owns a small countertop business and did Wayne's countertops recently. Anyway, I love them. I have the Cosmic Autumn lithograph by Wayne framed and hanging in my office at work.

Rad. What would you say is your favorite album by them? What did you think of Embryonic? Or their cover of Dark Side?

Embryonic definitely grew on me. I was wtf'ing the first like five times I heard it, but I finally came around to really enjoying it. The tracks I've heard off of the studio version of Dark Side didn't sound so hot, but I'm a really die hard fan of the original. I consider it to be the most complete and technically sound album ever crafted, so...

At War With The Mystics is my favorite album.

When I'm just listening at home, I prefer the original Dark Side of the Moon. But live, in the colliseum, and with all the laser beams shooting out of Wayne's gigantic hand and bouncing off the world's largest mirror ball on the ceiling and with the trippy multimedia thing going on behind them... it was rad... before he started he had everyone set their phone alarms for 12:55 am which went off at the beginning of the song "Time". The sound in the stadium was great. Way better live than the Lips' studio version. And this was right after we had the world's largest NYE balloon drop ever.

I don't understand the hate that scene gets. The entire party laughs at Tidus and Yuna for laughing like idiots. It isn't like the ridiculous laughter is SERIOUS. It's tongue-in-cheek.

There are a bunch of problems with the execution of that scene, starting with how the "real laughter" that comes afterwards sounds only slightly less fake.

His celestial is easy to get too. Once you get Nimrook on net Blitz Ball is stupidly easy and broken. Just play until Nimrook he has one game left on his contract, save, then keep playing against his team and reloading until he goes free agent. It doesn't take long.

bosses are fantastic,the fight with the dragon on top of the plane requires you to make use of your ability to move the ship,similiar one of the boss place your character on a board,if your character are all grouped together they all get hit by his counterattack,if you separate them you are wasting turns and later on the boss just decide to regroup all your guy again,yunalesca is also one of the nastiest boss and she doesn't get hard because she suddenly decide to murder you on the spot but because she puts you in a hard place

music would be a matter of personal taste,i'm kinda neutral about it,it's no FF7 but it's not bad then you have the story and the character which i personaly liked

I love the music in the game, as well as the art, and the battle system is still as perfect as ever but the story/characters are boring as fuck.

I don't have a tolerance for animu bullshit like I used to. Going from the greatness that is Mass Effect to something like Final Fantasy is like going from eating a bowl of ice cream to eating a bowl of frozen dog shit.
