basically the zune phone, fuck yes.
-
THIS IS HOW IT BEGINS
-
it has achievements
-
they were showing this off in Spain, so...
-
Man, both Microsoft and Apple use shitty safe touring music when presenting UI. Play some fucking Rammestein. And I'm lol'ed at how out of place the Explorer icon looks with all the other icons. The speaker also looks like he's in Owl City. But a Zune Phone is pretty cool.
-
Is this another phone without buttons? pass.
-
Looks very slow and unresponsive in the video.
-
it won't be out till fall anyway.

So it's just like my iPhone.
Don't really care for the look of the MS phone though. It'd take some serious adjustment to get used to it.
-
The problem is kinda that they haven't shown any phones that use it, or the companies that will carry those phones, or any sort of pricing.
but between this and those rumored iphone 4g shells, one of them is going to be my next cellphone. I kinda want the droid too but I'm content with AT&T in my area.

I'll never understand why people need phones that act as electronic army knives. Let me call who I want, get messages, text, and feel comfortable. Get me from a to b.
hate to sound like some grumpy old man but smh

Because carrying and managing several devices gets annoying for everyday use. Unless you're Kevin Smith, most pants don't have a a lot of room to store shit in. Plus there is the benefit of using Internet anywhere you get a signal. Another reason is because a bunch of friends just text now and I hate that. I have an old sony phone where each number is three or four letters. It takes me minutes to write a reply back. At least on the iphone I know I can type fine on it. And maps/GPS, PDA functions, etc etc. Convenience is nice.

Why I love my android phone:
Friday - Went to a party. Only had the address. I used Google Maps to find it and get me a route. It even told me that it was right past the Beck's Prime so I knew to turn left into a little nook after that.
Today - I dropped my car off at the dealership and waited like 30 minutes in the waiting room. It was either watch Good Morning, America or play games on my phone. I know which one I chose.
What's easier? Describing a funny youtube video that you saw to your friend or showing it to him?
The list goes on and on.

Eh... I'll stick with the growing beast that is Android for now.

You can't be from my generation. Have you ever actually tried one out yourself?

as a bizness duder, i cannot live without my winmo phone (winmo because i REQUIRE exchange integration). business is communication, these days, and it is HELL

With luck, this will be a great opportunity for Silverlight devs. I am almost tempted to blow the $1k+ to attend MIX this year. Maybe if the bank hadn't cut my credit limit. :-\

My phone does a lot of shit, but I barely use it.

Don't Blackberries offer exchange integration as well? I'd wager it probably is not as tight as WinMo, since MS controls both platforms, but I'm not too familiar.
-
I've got it on my mytouch 3g too. i haven't used it though since my company is a bitch about giving out that permission level.
-
blackberries do not, at least not as installed. that was why i moved from bb to winmo. android has touchdown, which is decent, but it's not on par with full-on proper exchange integration. it's the one thing winmo does right.

I didn't ask you that. Have you ever actually messed around with a smartphone for an extended period of time is the question.

mobile achievements :drool

I couldn't live without my Android phone. I'm interested in a Microsoft smartphone OS that isn't complete garbage, but they have to prove it to me first before I unload my Google sexiness.
Android 2.1 update next month! Woo!
-
I'm rockin' Win Mobile 6.5. Can't wait to get an Android phone
-
I'm annoyed because my mobile contract is going to run out IN JUNE, so I have to decide whether to get an Android or Palm or something, or hold out for one of these.

Velocity Girl is very aroused.
