The concept sounds absolutely awful, but the trailer isn't bad.  It's basically a 2D action platformer.  It could potentially be fun, but I can't say that Krome Studios has a great track record.  They're also responsible for the creation of "Game Room" for Microsoft, oddly enough.

"I tried the demo. Someone has come up with a character more obnoxious than Sonic. It's a 2d platformer/beat-em-up with huge stages and a lot of exploration. Everything good about it stops there."
