This makes me want to proactively ban all fighting games to prevent future film adaptations.

So you guys think that all tournament fighting based movies suck or that just this one sucks?  I for one loved bloodsport.

This movie looks worse than the Dragonball movie. And that was pretty bad.

How can it possibly be worse than the dragonball movie?

I had occasion to watch a youtube 'best of bloodsport' clip recently and oh my god, it was more horrendous than I remembered. Van Damne is so ponderous. There is no flow to the fighting at all.

Fuck it, not gonna see it then.  THAT'S WHAT U GET MOVIE MAKERS NO FIGHTING BEARS AND KANGAROOS NO SALE.  This is why Tekken will tank.  Obviously there cannot be any other reason.

I once invented a drinking game called "Cool Shit," and this movie looks absolutely perfect for it.

It's only in Japanese theaters, I think.

The DVD/BD release is next month in the UK IIRC, with no U.S. announcement yet.

The best tournament fighting movie ever was Master of the Flying Guillotine.

This Tekken movie doesn't look too bad to be honest. That trailer alone is already infinitely better than the entire DOA movie at least. So far the only watchable fighting game movie is the SF2 animated film, and even that one's not too great.

Anyone here watch the KOF movie? I still haven't seen that yet.

If you mean the live action movie, that's not out yet.  It looks to combine the clusterfuckery of any of the Street Fighter movies, with some probable competent action.  Its a english language Hong Kong production made in Canada, so chances are pretty high it will suck, but the fights probably wont.

I like very much that they cast the same dude for Eddie Gordo who actually does his motion capture.

Oh it's not? I took a quick look at wiki and it said it came out in November I think, so I figured it just slipped through.

:bow Maggie Q as Mai

Did they get a crackhead to edit this film? Jesus, the action is less coherent than in a Transformers movie.
