Title: Can someone help me with Settlers 2? Super n00b Q

Level 1 of Settlers 2: 10th Anniversay Edition. I built all of the available buildings, I mined and made a ton of shit. I have no idea what to do. How do I expand my borders? I sent a scout to the edge of my borders, h just walks back. Helllppp.

last time i played settlers 2 i'm pretty sure internet didn't even exist so i might be saying a bunch of bullshits but i think you need to build a tower and then have that tower get inhabited by at least a soldier,if you have to conquer enemy borders then you have to take the enemy tower by sending your soldier on it and hoping for the best
