He got suspended by ESPN for two weeks for saying:
“Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She’s got on red go-go boots and a catholic school plaid skirt … way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now.” [She's 47.] “She’s got on her typically very, very tight shirt. She looks like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body … I know she’s very good, and I’m not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, so I won’t … but Hannah Storm … come on now! Stop! What are you doing? … She’s what I would call a Holden Caulfield fantasy at this point.”
Broad in question:

Poor Tony but that truly is a garish fucking outfit
-
She should get twice that for going on air in that. :yuck
-
The lack of tits on sportscenter is appalling. Linda Cohn is the best there is right now. :'(
-
I think ESPN is in a bad position when it comes to sexualizing their women hosts. At least with Fox News/CNN/MSNBC they're not limited in the market they can pull women from. On ESPN its as if they're obligated to choose from retired female soft ball champs. It makes sense though, having a Robin Meade talk about the 2010 NFL Draft would be catastrophic.
-
If they have problems finding hot former athletes, I'm the solution.
-
Poor Tony :(
LeBatard is fine but he works better with Tony than Mike
-

They're afraid since the only chick with tits got her hotel room videotaped.
I know she's not an anchor, but whatever.
-
Sage Steele used to do Wizards pregame and other stuff on the local Comcast Sports network, and they'd always feature her mahvelous gams. Now she's on ESPN and all covered up.
I do think it's unfair to pile on female broadcasters, cause they don't get the "just wear a suit" default of the guys, and it's not like ESPN doesn't have a wardrobe department that's also culpable. Still, suspending him for two weeks seems like an overreaction and makes it a bigger story than it'd be otherwise.
-
Seems like an odd suspension. I mean I'm personally not a fan of dudes objectivizing women in a manner they would never do with men but his comments seem tame.
This isn't 1950. Seems like somebody at ESPN is over-reacting on this one.
-
It's probably more about openly criticizing the in-house talent than anything else.
-

I find that even more dictatorial and weird. Especially since his comments were about wardrobe and not the quality of her work. I know I've heard people on ESPN joke about far worse or rag on each other.
-
I think it's evident by the irrational overreaction to Kornheiser's comments about a female, that ESPN is obviously run by Saint Cornelius.
-
If there was any justice in the world Skip Bayless would have been fired years ago for simply being Skip Bayless.

Why you gotta' say that?! Saint.C's dick is probably burning right now.
-
If I were in the position to suspend ESPN employees over frivolous slights then Kornheiser would be topping my list too

Maybe she complained? Anna Ford at the BBC was legendary for kicking up a stink if anyone dared cricitize her appearance, or even comment on it.

I think as someone mentioned ESPN has had a lot of problems with sexual harassament or sexual related matters period. They are probably hyper sensitive to this stuff and their public image now and that tends to lead to over-reactions.

I salute Tony. Someone needs to remind her she's 50, and this is 2010. That costume is ridiculous :lol
-
Actually she's 47.
-
::)
-
Damn, I am going to have to look for this clip.
I said this very thing to my gf earlier this year. It's really sad, because Hannah Storm used to be pretty cute, she got her start here in Charlotte.
However, it's 2010. I want to see Erin Andrews in tight skirts, not Hannah Storm. And I NEVER want to see Linda Cohn dressed like that, be it 1992 or 2010.
I don't know what the hell SC is doing but they are clearly asking their female 'talent' to spice it up because even Christine Horseface McKendry is doing it. If a female is on SportsCenter she better be wearing something feminine.
They look horrible, Kornheiser called them on it and he gets suspended? What a joke.

/Corny?

I was looking at hot newscasters and this GIF made me cringe...
Patti Ann Brown of Fox News. I remember when she used to wear neutral colored business suites.
-
I've been listening to Tony's radio show everyday for the past 3 months. He's great and this suspension stinks (as I watch PTI everyday).
-
Apparently he had this to say about BERMAN too
"I know I'm not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, like if I point out that people say that they lost 50 or 60 pounds have actually gained all the weight back..." (Co-host interrupts: "And then some. Gained the weight back, back, back, back.")

Kinda alot of sexual politikin' going on in sports reporting. If they just wanted eye-candy they could hire any ol' weather bunny, but they tend to get mocked if they don't know their shit...but at the same time you gotta be easy on the eyes for your largely male audience.

Haven't watched Fox News in a while, but that clip is from Red Eye, FNC's comedy news program [insert joke here], so that's probably why she's dressing like that.

That's hot, man...I love MILFs.

Yeah, I'm with Ichirou on this one.

Pfft, we know from your track record that you're all about the milfs.

:lol

Am I the only one not getting what's wrong with the red shirt/plaid skirt combo?
-
Man, whenever Kornheiser isn't on PTI, the show really fucking suffers IMO.
Such bullshit.

It would seem so. :-X

As I said before Tony and Dan is much better than Mike and Dan.
I do like the occasional dose of LeBatard because sometimes they'll talk MMA and it's nice to hear a different opinion once in a while.
-

Aren't they members of the THAT SPORT IS ABHORRENT AND BARBARIC camp?
-
Somewhere in Glasgow a prostitute wants her outfit back.

Only Tony I think. LeBatard loves it, Wilbon accepts that boxing is dead and MMA is hot but doesn't like it.
-
Nah, Wilbon is pretty much part of the "this isn't a sport it's just a back alley fight" camp too.

I haven't watched PTI in a long while, but this is what I thought too.

I mean, at worst she looks like she's dressed like a tacky soccer mom, but that's mostly because of the boots. She is certainly not wearing contemporary whore fashion.
-
I neither see what's wrong with the outfit nor what's wrong with the comment. But maybe there's some obscure reference in it that I'm simply not getting.
