Orchestrated music was taken out of Galaxy 2. Nintendo knows it is nothing but a budget priced level pack. :rofl
Orchestrated music was taken out of Galaxy 2.
wooo cave story finally. always wanted to play that.
Galaxy 2 :bow2
Probably gonna have to pass on Alan Wake now

"Metroid™: Other M, the incredible new Metroid game developed for Wii through a collaboration by Nintendo and the world-renowned Team Ninja, launches June 27. The game looks at the classic franchise from a new perspective: While much of the game is reminiscent of 2-D side-scrollers, players can switch the perspective into 3-D at any time as they explore the twisting passages of a derelict space station and delve deep into a cinematic, never-before-told story of bounty hunter Samus Aran’s past. This new approach uses a new control scheme in which players use the Wii Remote™ controller held sideways to battle enemies and navigate the expansive, gorgeous environments in classic Metroid fashion, then aim at the screen with the Wii Remote pointer to blast foes in first-person and hunt the world for clues and hidden passages."
10:36: Hey -- one final, very promising note: Nintendo of America staff just tracked me down and told me not to worry -- that orchestrated music is being implemented into the final version of Galaxy 2. Very good news indeed!
Nintendo delivers as usual.
Nintendo delivers as usual.
Yes they deliver more Mario and Metroid games. Woo go Nintendo you are so creative and edgy.
Picross 3D is the true star of the show.

:omg
Truly the three months of the Nintendo Wii
So mandatory motion controls are pretty much confirmed at this point?QuoteThis new approach uses a new control scheme in which players use the Wii Remote™ controller held sideways to battle enemies and navigate the expansive, gorgeous environments in classic Metroid fashion, then aim at the screen with the Wii Remote pointer to blast foes in first-person and hunt the world for clues and hidden passages."

$190 for DSi XL. There's no fucking way I'm paying that. It's $10 less than a Wii.
Dude, there's no way it cost more than $50 to make that.

I can't imagine anyone even thinking to buy this. The PPI on those screens is terrible. I wouldn't get a DSi XL if it was for free.
Galaxy 2 looks amazing and metroid sounds promising.
Wii is actually sounding promising this year :o

Glad to know it only takes two games to please you.
Game looks great, but even as huge Mario cigarillo, I can't seem to get as excited over this as the original.
Why should they when their fans this gen happily buy whatever garbage they put out?Dude, there's no way it cost more than $50 to make that.

I want to see it in person first. After spending time with the PSP, Palm Pre, and pretty much every other device on the planet, the DS looks fucking ugly and their new model makes it MORE apparent and RAISES the price? Nintendo just doesn't give a shit anymore.
I like how today was some big media day when all they did was announce release dates for titles that we all new existed.
(Aside from the new 100 book collection Nintendo is putting out for $20! Keep milking that royalty-free bullshit, Big N!)
Still not digging Other M. Plastic toys doing combo moves does not make a Metroid fan happy.

Mario is cool. Will buy that & Alan Wake in May. You guys better not forgot MGS5Peace Walker is May also :)
Metroid is dunno, will probably give it a shot. I like Metroid & I like Team Ninja.
Already played S&P2. It's the best game fucking ever. Anyone who didn't try the import better give this a shot.
XLol
3d Picross...spoiler (click to show/hide)I didn't like it /runs[close]
i tried S&P2 and i couldn't understand what was the big deal about it,it just didn't impress me
I haven't played a new rail shooter since Panzer Dragoon Orta.
Rail shooters were my favorite genre as a kid, next to platformers.
Thinking of the possibilities of rail shooters on the wii is the main reason I got a wii at launch aside from Zelda.
And here I am, 3 years after launch and SP2 is the only fucking rail shoter on the system.
I hate my life.

Uh yeah, buy hotd overkill. Its flawed but fun.
btw WHY HASN'T SEGA PORTED VIRTUA COP TO THE WII.
That would make me smile so hard.
Also the reason why there is no Virtua Cop compilation is because nobody has cared about it since the mid 90s. It'd just cater to a small set of gamers and it is unlikely that the Sega of today would do such a thing.

wtf is wiispeak. Do you talk into your remote? Is it on par with xbla/psn voicechat?

You just described the Smash Bros. series. :lol

Cus no one would buy it! Its like when other nintards don't understand why nintendo isn't making a new starfox. It's completely irrelevant these days.

On the same note, I cringe every time I see someone clamor for Killer Instinct 3.
It's like time + B-list/semi-obscure title = OMG THEY HAVE TO BRING THAT BACK

I WISH you talked into your wiimote, coulda made the wiimote a nice impromptu karaoke controller. I prefer the wiispeak implementation if only because I find the whole 'account required to use microphone' aspect of Xbox live whack, but my limited experience with wiispeak had echo issues. Also, you can leave messages like live with the wiispeak channel, but you have to physically go into the channel to check your messages and no one uses it. In general Nintendo's hesistance to expand their online feature set makes it more of a gimmick than a useful feature.

XBL Silver allows for voice chat.
SMG2 looks great, though.

Mass Effect 2 owned. :o
SMG2 will be so amazing.
Held horizontally like an old school NES pad, Samus is controlled by the D-Pad, firing is mapped to the 1 button, jumping to the 2 button, and morph ball action to the A button.

Morph ball gets its very own button :lol I wonder if running will just be the default for movement? And what about item selection?QuoteHeld horizontally like an old school NES pad, Samus is controlled by the D-Pad, firing is mapped to the 1 button, jumping to the 2 button, and morph ball action to the A button.
:bow Metroid Other M
Prime eviscerated

Hmm, well I don't think I will give Wii speak a shot by spending $$ to buy the addon.
But I might give MH3 a shot since the online is free and I've never really played MH much. Still would rather get into it on PC/PS3/X360 where I could play online with friends & headsets but dunno if they will ever get a real one with free online.
^ You selling or is that donation?
"I awoke to the familiar voice of a quarantine officer," Samus says via inner-monologue. "A dream. I had been reliving the tragic moments of my recent past. Thanks to the hyper beam, which was given to me somehow by the baby, I laid rest to Mother Brain." Of course, the explosion also took down the station, as well as everything nearby.
Other M begins at this point. The geek tells Samus to walk through a door so that training can begin. In the room, she cinematically triggers her Varia Suit -- it simply appears over her Zero Suit as energy envelops her body and it looks ]fantastic, of course. Now you're ready to play.

the idea of fan fiction metroid doesn't bother me but i wish people would stop whining about it... i mean the fact that this isn't a fps already make it league better than metroid prime
The dialogue and thematics of Other M look horrible. Why is Nintendo so motivated to ruin the style that the original games and Metroid Prime established?
I guess sakomoto has some affinity for the metroid canon. Which is distinguished mentally-challenged. Last time they did this we got super mario sunshine. And I daresay its ruined the zelda franchise.
Looks like Ps2-era cgi. Team Ninja sucks, with or without Itagayki.
The story should be great. Team Ninja and Nintendo usually make games with great storylines.
