Yeah, yesterday when I moved to Win7 and just grabbed the latest video drivers like you normally do, and they were these and my computer got really hot and smelled like burning for 24 hours until Blizzard put out a warning to rollback and I did.
WORST UPGRADE DAY EVER.

I hope I didn't do any permanent damage.  Didn't game that much.  But I was spending a lot of time testing my new OS with games, all while MY GPU FAN WASN'T WORKING @_@

Nope.  Rolledback before JC2.  But was testing Red Faction G, Shattered Horizon, L4D2, etc...maxed in 10-20 min bursts.

I've been gaming all day yesterday after I rolledback and everything seems fine I think.  I do get some weird graphical glitches in JC2 demo with SSAO on when I drive real fast, but I think that's because my card can't handle SSAO (9800GTX+).

That sucks.  Kinda makes me happy that I'm always a few weeks behind on these drivers.  The only time I downloaded a new one was for Fallout 3, and that caused the game to crash constantly  :lol  Never used Beta drivers either.

I rolled back to the latest betas. Thankfully I didn't try stressing the cards.

I'm running .21 - I never upgrade drivers though, but I just replaced my 8800GT so I got the latest at the time.

and reading the update list for this bugged nvidia driver, if I did read the release, I would have downloaded it since it mentions Bad company 2

There are fanatics that get the latest build of all drivers. The latest ones were pulled RIGHT AFTER being posted. You can rest assured if it is still listed, it's safe.
