Title: Is there a way to turn my laptop into an alarm clock?

I lost my cellphone and it's probably gone for good. I thought I had brought my old alarm clock but I don't see it anywhere. I need to wake up for morning classes but I got nothing to wake me up with.

all I have set is for the screen to go off

no screensaver or sleep

i used a program called College Alarm Clock for ages. Pretty straightforward - about the only option you had to worry about was picking any mp3 you like as a ringtone.

pretty astonishing that you had to make a thread about this though.
